I'm new here

Hi all. I guess I'm not really knew to this, but it's been a few years since I reached out. I'm going through a terrible bout of depression and anxiety. I started Lexapro (10mg) 4 days ago and I'm anxiously waiting to start feeling better.

My partner of 8 years left our home about a month ago. We have a 7 year old together and I'm so sad he's not here. He's going through terrible depression too and is seeing a therapist. I am to start seeing one on Monday, and it can't come soon enough. I'm sleeping terribly and feel so alone.

Hoping that by sharing with like-minded folks that we can support and help each other.

I'm sorry your hurting livm, breaking up is always so sad and difficult, it's gonna take some time, and at least your back on your meds to help level your emotions out, and terrific that your going to your therapist as well. Your doing the best you can, some days are just another day, some are harder, but eventually, it will get better...hang in there.

You just need to take it one day at a time. Just be in the moment. What happened yesterday is gone. Focusing on what has been or yet to be takes too much energy. Therapy will help.
