So after a forum user posted a article about temu , I thought I'd mention this absolutely vile company, " complete save " they managed to rip my friend off who is registered blind, they were doing some sort of home shopping and ended up getting piggyback into their system, this company has thousands of complaints on trust pilot, they have used various companies where you enter into becoming a " member " and they hit your bank account for roughly £18 per month. They have even got a QR codes where people download a simple task like parking your cars in car parking, trains or big consumer shops, after trying to find out where this companies HQ is ( Switzerland) and searching for a telephone number I finally managed to get this money returned with the initial booking fee of £1.50 taken, but my friend was into major panic mode and cancelled their bank card !!!
Even the bank said they've had dealings with this sly outfit, the way this company operates is disgraceful, and when I put a post up about them they even went to the trust pilot and stated non of my comments were correct, it was deleted by trust pilot on the basis I didn't give them a reference number about my friend, and I returned with another statement calling them out ,a truly devious company that's affected numerous people, and things will get worse when we are forced into digital currency, this is all about monitoring your money, and the lack of privacy is frightening!!!

I'm now being bombarded by a company called " Khol's " obviously I normally refuse cookies on any articles I read, this is like unsolicited violation of my privacy, " cookies " should be banned automatically without you having to refuse them, it's like a company ringing you up that you never requested, I've blocked hundreds, these people have no shame, and neither have the companies who sell these firms telephone landlines, until prison sentences are given out this awful practice will continue!
Hi Cb! I’ve read so many articles on this company as well. I’ve read about how dangerous they are before falling for it. Even thinking about this affects my mental health. Will someone explain how cookies are even beneficial? I mean why would our computer system even allow them? I don’t understand.
Opening up your phone onto most websites have the option to refuse cookies, the ones I open are normally news articles and found that " Reach" the media corporation are always trying to ask for your " permission " unless you refuse cookies then this opens your phone to other companies, many cookies are similar to any Google search and stay on the system you use, your mobile phone is like a prisoners tag 🤣 it knows all about your movements, people don't understand that everything we do on the Internet is tracked, myself personally I think we're heading into danger, nothing will be private, and facial recognition is another important factor, biometric details. A world where everything is tracked, cameras watching your every movement, what next a trial by computers in a court of law, can't even appeal to a human being if you get a parking ticket, data is used by government departments, even trying algorithms trying to refuse people certain benefits, and can take weeks or months to resolve. We need privacy more than ever without companies knowing what colour socks we wear, we are at the cusp of an environment that will isolate certain people away from technology, even ring doorbells are an invasion of privacy, and people will just roll over under the guise saying it's better for everyone, and safety is also heavily used when pushing the use of these words, those in power will have control, and at the touch of a button or keypad you could easily be left being very vulnerable, and look at screen saying you are locked out of the so called caring society we have today, freedom isn't something we should have to pay with our souls , we are humans who won't be able to understand between that and AI,yes humans make mistakes, but once a system that's hard wired into technology the computer never makes mistakes that WON'T be possible to argue with,I feel you have become a slave to a system that's already difficult to navigate.
its dreadful and not only Temu, i have been scammed with dodgy workmen, and i paid because there were 3 of them and i live on my own, and then another near scam which i luckily avoided, when a guy phoned me up about my bank account, and they even had names of my relations, and so i did believe them, but right at the last moment i realised it was a scam, and even now its affected my mental health. But going back to your original comment, i have bought from Temu and had no problem at all.?
I'm not disputing everything I've said, it was me commenting on fact that we are being " abused " on a daily basis but in a digital world, shopping online for me is something I personally wouldn't do, I want to see my goods in front of me, feel the texture of materials, see the quality of the goods and knowing it fits me, rather than just looking at a screen and expecting something that doesn't meet my requirements, and then returns and perhaps ordering something else, pictures paint a thousand words and we are sold on what we see with our eyes, or sometimes recommendations, then you have the hassle of returning items, or perhaps saving your password to certain accounts, we have become far to reliant on computers and they don't have emotions, we " presume " everything we do online is " safe " and secure, just look at post office scandal is now being covered up
I too like to see things properly before I buy and the only time I order online is when I urgently need something and can't source it anywhere I can get to. I don't have a car or anything.
The last thing I bought months ago was a folding high stool from Amazon and its hard to go wrong with that! I was perfect and a good price too. I will have to order an outdoor cat shelter from them too as there is nowhere locally I can get one.
My reward? Friends tell me I still live in the dark ages and should move with the times. I move as far as I need to and no further.
Before ordering from anywhere I always check the reviews (through google) thoroughly and often use Trust Pilot too.
Many thanks for letting us know about this dodgy company.
Ha ha. I only upgraded to a smartphone (well actually an android) a few months ago actually and wish I had done it sooner. And mine is connected to the internet. x
Yeah.... it's rampant right now....there are tons more of these scammers since the internet. When I was in college, I worked for the better Business Bureau, and it was so heartbreaking. The top people to get scammed were the elderly who were so trusting, and people who didn't have a good grasp on the English language yet, and the many housebound or people with limitations, some say disabilities, but I don't like to use that term.
Many of us don't think like those sociopaths who take advantage of someone for financial gain and have no conscience about doing it. It's a hard lesson to learn,...we all have been there...I was scammed on some art work, and I'm an artist. So....if it's too vague...no direct contact available, no ability to follow up on a company, then it's probably a scam. Report them to the proper channels, so others can eventually be helped if they get taken down. But as they say: 'Caveat Emptor' (Buyer Beware).
Back in February a company tried to scam me claiming I was getting a job offer without an interview and I told them thanks for the offer but no thanks!
I wish I had said no to the job offer that I took recently after I started the job and it didn't work out after I was bullied there and shouted at by a colleague!
Yes that digital currency isn't for our benefit, it will only make the rich even richer, they will " avoid " any loopholes to evade any unforseen quirks that most people will encounter and that includes shifting money off shore, which is affecting the whole tax process, money that should be in the system paying towards the huge costs inflicted upon our society, with those in the worst paid jobs picking up the slack (Again) they'll be some big announcement saying how great this new scheme " helps " people, but we've seen how government spends taxpayers money like confetti and those on power abuse this position 😳
I was scammed a few years ago. My medical records were hacked from a credit bureau. My medical clinic that contained all my doctors dropped me cuz they said I’d been shopping pharmacies in Texas and south Florida and there was a bottle of Percocet waiting to be picked up in a pharmacy in Dallas. I live in north Florida. It can’t be picked up without my identification. The scammers weren’t too smart. The clinic wouldnt see me to show them documentation that my identity had been stolen. So I had to start from scratch finding all new doctors and I wasn’t healthy in body or mind enough to sue the clinic. Some good came out of it though. I found slowly and eventually some much better doctors. It was horrible to be treated like a criminal. Who’s gonna profit anyway by taking a bus to Dallas from Florida to pick up one bottle of Percocet. Get real . lol
Thank you for this information, there are a lot of ads for this company coming up on my pc right now, and I'm not getting into anything with subscriptions! I think Go Groupie might be similar as well, but I'm not sure.
I'm very much an anti-techno. warrior, hate giving my call and text phone number away, obviously, close friends and relatives, and medical, [new call and text gave number to new bank, within 24 hours scam call, first questions then name of mother 😱🥺😵reported it to them, embarrassment all round, actually guess who just lost his Tesco club card, (they have had those cards for 29 years😵) but stay away from "Cookies" they could turn up months later? I'd say I'm lucky IF they find my financial records🤫 there is practically nothing there🕵️♀️🥶 That's AI no privacy, open to everybody, they have the foot in the door, and too late to do anything about it🙄😬
