My name is Scott and I'm new to this. I saw a therapist for the first time recently and was told I have general anxiety disorder and panic disorder. I want to learn new strategies for handling my anxiety and I would like to help others who are suffering with this any way I can. I'm hoping we can all find some peace.

Scott,

I have been diagnosed with GAD myself. I also have a huge bag of other things to deal with. I a relatively new to this site as well. I have found it to be most supportive. I think that one of the things that all of us have to work on is the isolation that our anxiety can bring. This site is a very good way for me to reach out to others and to be heard in return. I am working on mindfulness right now for my anxiety. Trying to stay in the present moment. Not easy!

Best,

Mw
