Hello
Hi Chris...I'm glad you found this place...and sorry your having problems with your meds...it's always a gamble what will work, how much to take....it's an unfortunate trial and error many of us go through to get the right balance. Have you talked to your doctor to see if you need a different dossage ....have you been on the effexor long enough for your body to adjust to it?.....
Hi Chris, sorry to hear your anxiety has increased. I agree with fauxartist that you might need a change to your medication. Have you tried other treatments such as therapy ? I think sometimes we need different things at different times in our lives so perhaps you could try something new? Take care
I have been on the effexor for quite a while. It may be time to go speak with the doctor but I'm dreading the ups and downs that go with trying new doses and or new meds. I have done therapy but never really felt it helped. I was looking into meditation and actually cbd oils that claim they help.
Hi Qupak8561, Meditation works amazingly well whether on medication or not. After all there is no real magic cure for Anxiety short of accepting that it is not harmful, not fearing the symptoms and using methods that can quiet the Mind/Body Connection. I wish you well with seeing your doctor. Whatever he decides I hope you give Meditation and Deep Breathing a chance. Unfortunately I do not know anything about the cbd oils. Good Luck
yes I too was suggested to try cbd oils.....it's made from hemp....but the THC is removed, no high....just the medicinal effects....it's legal and effective for many people. I am in recovery so never could I take something that's illegal or addictive. Here's a site to explain more about this oil. I'm not promoting this site or the oil....just some info: hempture.ie/about/
Hi Qupak8561, i have generalised anxiety disorder and deal with some depression and intrusive thoughts as well. I've been taking CBD oil for ages now, probably almost a year. It's not a miracle, but for me it kinda takes the edge off. I sleep better and i feel less anxious and if I do get intrusive thoughts, I find it easier to deal with them. I get mine from lovecbd and it doesn't taste great, but if you can bear that I would definitely recommend you give it a try. I use the 800mg entourage one, and if you're new to it you should start with the dose they recommend, however, I'm not sensitive to it and I use about 10-15 sprays a day. It has in no way cured me, but it definitely helps. Let me know if you have any questions about it, I'm happy to help ☺️
good to know....thank you Johanna4832...now I think I'll try this....just the original stigma put me off till I did more research on it...herbal medicine is kinda my thing anyways...
Chris, I also take CBD oils to help with pain and anxiety. I have saw nothing but positive effects from them. They even make gummy bears, brownies, etc that taste just like the normal ones. I started off at 750mg and now take 1000mg. I have the drops i can put directly under my tongue (taste kind of like olive oil) and I also have a vape that the drops can either be put in from your bottle or you can buy disposable "tanks" of the oil. Occasionally i buy the gummies or brownies but i have found them all to be extremely helpful to take the edge off of my stress.
Hope that helps!
Anxiety and panic are the worst things I have ever experienced. I am so sorry you are going through this. How long have you suffered? Mine began 2 and a half years ago after I woke up one night with terrible vertigo. I woke my husband up and insisted he take me to the ER. After lots of tests, they determined it was just vertigo and sent me on my way. It is strange how you can be a perfectly happy and carefree person and then after suffering from your first panic attack, everything changes. I will pray for your recovery! You can do this. We all can.
