Hi I have joined many slimming ways. But after Christmas 2024 the nurse said leave it till after Christmas just go & eat then after Christmas I will talk about your diet “Healthy Eating “. I just happened to ask what my number was for being diabetic. Before that 2nd 1 of taking 🩸 💉 they said you need 2 Metformin in the morning as well as at night. 2nd time they didn’t phone so I asked when went Flu Jab last year. Like I said as above so after Christmas the Nurse said there is another 1 But when went before that 1 said she was going speak doctor & then never got back to me. But 2nd 1 after Christmas said as I said above there is another 1 which I can give you. Because Christmas was Over yay! I said to nurse (Lady) that well I can do it with Healthy Eating! But getting my head around it it’s not just a Quick Fix! It’s Because I obviously haven’t been able to manage Healthy Eating! The Number wasn’t that bad! 2nd time round! But for getting older you don’t want complications & I already have a relative who is worse than me. pancreas won’t release sugar can’t(get rid sugar!) I am staying with relatives as my other half is looking after a family member.But for 2 Weeks while I have been here I have been eating chocolate 🍫 sugar things! So this Week 3 week! Weather nice Sunny ☀️ So thought Right that’s it! I’m going to Eat Healthy! Went Out got Fruit raspberries & blueberries to put on breakfast cereal! blueberries 🫐 got Plain Fat Free Yoghurt! + got Some More Cereal! Well Because my Sister done food shop for a family member & when went to go there was hardly any cereal 🥣 left! Think a family member Opened it! & Obviously Eaten it for breakfast! But I Went with that family member & that family member got big box weetabix! Anyway I have been on the bike excercise bike just 5 minutes & 1 minute jogging on spot inside house! 👏🏻 Couldn’t be bothered going out today even tho sunny ☀️ because went out yesterday. Then by time I finished at shops 1 hr 30 minutes it was raining 🌧️ Oh Yes! Was supposed to be in mid afternoon but it 🌧️ just before 5! It was getting quite heavy! It makes you push harder the 🚶!( When Walking!) Slows Your Walking down! Now I fancy Friday even tho end week just going get excercise in! Walking! Rather than sitting in garden! What do Others Think Advice Please & Hope I Can keep this 🆙 THAT’s Why I have Posted!

So to paraphrase, but correct me if I read your post wrong,
- you are trying to eat more healthily (Yey!)
- you have done some exercise on your indoor bike (5 min) and by jogging indoors (1 min) (well done!)
- you are getting some walks in, even if it’s raining. (Fabulous!)
So first of all, well done for getting those walks in. My experience is, the more physical exercise you do, the more energy you have. So it all pays!
In terms of eating habits, my husband has the habit of giving up chocolate and sweets for lent, and by the time Easter comes along, he doesn’t have any sugar cravings anymore. So it works for him. Might be an idea to consider. (I am rather lucky in that I don’t like chocolate and sweets, but still I am weight challenged as well)
In terms of healthy eating, I found this wonderful cookbook that really helps to easily cook healthily. It is by
Claire Bailey Mosley & Michael Mosley & Justin Patterson: The Fast 800 Easy. The Fast 800 Easy: Quick and simple recipes to make your 800-calorie days even easier (The Fast 800 Series)
You don’t have to stick to the 800 calories, and just have larger portions as she suggests for non-fasting days. But the way that book teaches you to cook more healthily is really immensely useful.

I Will Keep Posting ANY Excercise I do! ON HERE to keep me MOTIVATED! When I have DONE it! Oh & Excercise Gives you more ENERGY! BRILLIANT! & giving 🆙 CHOCOLATE! I Would love to try that!

that’s great that you went out to get serial, and even better that you got your walk in! If you struggle to get your walk in rather than sit in the garden with your relatives when you wake up decide what type of exercise you feel like doing - weather it be walking, your exercise bike or jogging on the spot and then think about when you plan to do it. You could even jog on the spot if you are waiting for the kettle to boil! If you decide to exercise bike maybe put some music on and decide how many songs to cycle through. You really have got this - think how good you will feel at your next appointment when you can tell them all you have been doing - you have got this, we believe in you!

hi Fernail, I was diagnosed 3 years ago with type2, put on 2x500mg metformin with breakfast & 2x500mg metformin with dinner plus 16 insulin in the evening. Some people have side effects from metformin, luckily mine weren’t to bad. It’s worth sticking with it if not to bad the side effects. 3 years later of the insulin & down to I metformin twice a day hoping to get of them completely by end of year or next year. I cut a lot of really surgery things like fizz but still have now & again same as cake, need to be careful of low fat yogurts etc as they have hidden sugars best to go with full fat also try not to eat to much cereal if you can maybe every other day eggs are good anyway you like hope this helps. Everybody is different thought. So good luck
Thank You for Your Reply! I use Fat Free Natural Yoghurt! Much Healthier! & 7 UP is with Sweetners! I Know there is the Bad Sweetners but been 🆗 When having No Sugar Pop! & it’s Caffeine Free Too! It says on the Small Bottle! As I drink Caffeine Black in daytime! Hope This Helps!
