A different walk, same road and different Cat πΈI am getting back to my regular walking again now following my recent back issue !
It's not back to normal yet but probably around 80% improvement.
Not back at the gym yet but we will see what Wednesday brings .
For now I'm happy to be getting out and about again .
Also things are nice and stable now following the heart attack in February.
I am comfortably maintaining the healthy weight without too much trouble.
I have become quite used to my new diet and will continue to keep low carb no added sugar and time restricted eating .
I now don't eat anything with an ingredients label π
I am also keeping the blood glucose levels steady in the healthy range (below pre diabetic)
Blood pressure is constantly in the ideal range and my resting HR appears to be fairly stable around 62-64 BPM now after being taken off the Beta blockers.
So, long may it continue. π€π

Yes it's lovely πMy RHR was dropping to mid to low 40's on Beta blockers, it will still sometimes drop to mid to low 50's but becoming more stable now since my weight and diet have stabalised π
Another lovely cat you took a photo of on your walk today Ian, a cat a day will accompany you for parts of your walk, of course you have Misty to welcome you when you get home, I am glad that hour blood pressure is ideal and your HR is stable, cats ruleβοΈβοΈπ»
Good for you and glad to know your bsck is getting better. You seem to attract the cats. Cats always come to me but I am petrified and I think they know it. Glad your off the beta blockers, was the beta blockers for high blood pressure. Mr D is on atenolol think a beta blocker high blood pressure but told he canβt come off them. Itβs hard with a restricted diet especially with the ingredients labels, donβt I know it. Spend half my time looking at labels on shopping day. π
Thank you !And yes, Atenolol is a beta blocker and used for high blood pressure.
The Beta blocker I was on was Bisoprolol, I was only on the lowest dose of 1.25mg
It wasn't specifically for my blood pressure, I take Ramipril for that and at the moment it's quite stable but I'm likely to be kept on that but the combination of the two were having detrimental effects on both my blood pressure and rhr .
Ha and yes, I also spend ages in the shops but really try hard now not to buy any processed foods .
It's been a challenge as I used to love baking, especially pastries and patisserie.
Also made all my own bread both yeasted and sourdough.
I barely eat any bread now ... I just allow myself the occasional slice of wholemeal bread but it is occasional but I have now become quite used to my new eating regime .
I have always loved cats π
And I always call them over if I see one , most will come but some are quite nervous π
