The app has been working fine but today freezes on start up is there a way to fix it and if i have to re - install will i lose all the data so far Thanks for any help and suggestions

App freezes


I'm experiencing the same problem, the app freezes and does not get past the splash page. It worked yesterday but not today, Thu 27 March. I think I updated the app today
I've tried to reset the app by clearing the app cache, force stopping the app, restarting the phone and trying the app again. I've tried with WiFi , 4G and airplane mode to vary connectivity. No combinations work
On Android it appears the app's widget might still work, at least the widget is showing data consistent with my Google fit heart point
Until the bug, or issue, is fixed you might be able to track brisk walked minutes using the widget or use Google fit heart points as a close estimate
Updated my profile as suggested. But I still couldn't get it to load. So lost all my steps. Really disappointing.

so sorry to hear that. There is a technical contact mentioned in the Apps help and support features.
I am on IoS so not much help either Androids.
Hope a reinstall solves any issues and sorry that you have lost all walks.
I myself use Runkeeper in parallel with any other app. So my Runkeeper app keeps track of mileage and other apps (Active10, NRC, etc) are the additional apps that motivate me in specific ways.
Runkeeper is free so this might be an option, as it works just as well for walking.
I'd hesitate to reinstall unless the developers confirm that data to date would not be lost
Mine has also packed up. Uninstalled, re-installed, cleared cache, re-started phone. All useless. It is now a dead App.
