App has just stopped working

Hi

I've been enjoying using Active 10 for a couple of months now but all of a sudden it has stopped working.

I felt it was reasonably accurate but all of a sudden, I can walk briskly for half an hour say and according to the app I haven't so much as put one foot in front of the other. I haven't changed anything. I carry it in the same coat pocket and walk at the same speed.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but nothing has made any difference at all.

I am seriously thinking of looking for another app, which would be a shame as I like the ease of use of this one.

Anyone any suggestions as to what has gone wrong?

So sorry to read that. This can be so annoying.

Somebody else has mentioned that there was an update. I don’t know how Google store works but is it possible to update without deleting?

As we have read, annoyingly there are quite a few reports of flaky behaviour of the app.

There is a tech support contact listed in the app itself.

What I do is use a more stable app for all runs and walks, working in the back ground. (Free version of Runkeeper for me, but there is also the free StepsApp). And I add the Active10 app for extra motivation.

Might be a good option for other walkers as well?

My son, who has a keen eye for all things smartphone, had a look at mine, as it was constantly sending me to app settings ever since the 'Google Fit' button appeared. He looked down the list of settings for the app settings, and made sure all 'permissions' were marked as allowed. The app is now functioning normally again (and the 'Google Fit' button is no longer there).

I had the same problem but once it was updated it's been fine
