Wow! Im so proud, today I managed 60 minutes of fat walking

I’m 71 and have tried most of my life to stay fit. However when I hit 70 I lost a lot of my fitness and put on three stone so any effort is much harder. I’ve been using the active 10 app for some weeks now and from one active 10 mins I’ve progressed to daily 3 active 10s. Which hasn’t been easy as I’m still obese. Then today I surprised myself by managing 6 active 10 mins. I’m delighted if shattered.!!!! I monitor my pulse and have noted it’s well within acceptable parameters for my age. Resting 52 , fastest. 140 bpm. Which is just about my maximum. Today was an exception, however who can tell what might happen. As they say you’re never too old. Let’s hope the weight disappears with my lethargy. I’m enjoying the community and wish everyone luck on their journey to a fitter and healthier life. Xxxx

Yes I do but considering I’m overweight it might be a Freudian slip😂😂😂

Well done, lizzy. I am 70 and also at least 3 stone too heavy. I have worked up to 3 active tens most day on a total walk of 60 minutes. I love it and can also feel a big difference. It showed me I can regain control, I am reducing my dependency on sugar to feel good by substituting activity and fresh air and it's helping a lot. Keep up your routine and I am so pleased you shared your progress, thank you.

Hi, thank you for your very supportive words. I’m delighted to hear from someone in my age group and who understands how those extra pounds don’t stop us but are a factor we have to deal with. I’m enjoying being active again after a year as a couch potato. I am determined never to go back there. It is so important to keep fit as we age even if it’s tough. Life is for living regardless of age and active 10s is a marvellous way to motivate even the most determined couch potato. 😂😂😂😂😂
