Get in there!

Regular members will know that I've been on a serious mission the last 5 months to walk regularly and lose weight! Well, I got the results of last week's diabetic blood tests today - and WOW!! My HbA1c levels have dropped from 61mmol/mol to 48mmol/mol!! My blood pressure is normal at 119/80 too. My weight loss stands at 33 lbs and I'm as chuffed as anything - and I don't even manage to walk every day! Onward and upward! I just love Active 10, it really has changed my life!

Wow Kay those are some really inspirational and impressive stats. You must be so pleased and proud of your progress. Well done.

Thank you Rfc - it's good to have validation that walking really does bring enormous health benefits! I still find it hard to believe that as well as the medical improvements, for the first time in 7 years I can actually climb stairs - several times a day - AND I can comfortably manage 3000 steps! Very happy camper today!?!?

Hi kay50, very impressive lab results. Congratulations.

I was told take my blood pressure first thing in the morning and never manage to get a reading at your(normal) level. I need to work at it by eating more raw vegetables and less salt.

Thanks svgeeks - I am still in awe myself! I really didn't expect those results! Good luck with your bp!

Well done Hidden - what better motivation than seeing those clinical results! You must be so chuffed - it’s one thing to see the weight shift and feel a bit healthier, but how great to know that you’re so much healthier on the inside 😀👏🏻

Thanks jao77 - I'm actually quite shocked (in a good way!) because I really can't walk as much as I should do. Just goes to show, small changes can make a big difference. I am over the moon!

That's great news Kay. They must have been blown away. It's nice to have numbers in hand to see your progress, as well as how you feel.

Thanks runswithdogs - Don't know about the medics, but I'm very definitely blown away! And you're right, getting validation that you're doing the right things is great! Thanks also for all the support you've given me along the way to this point on my journey to better health and fitness!

Thanks so much Mazzy00! All those ups and downs have settled into all downs - blood pressure down, weight down, glucose levels down! Your encouragement along the way really helped! But I'm only halfway there, so onward and upward! Sorry, downward! lol
