My biggest wish for you is not to be bored with your food
Eating healthily is a pleasure. Think about trying new ingredients and new recipes. Get rid of anything that says low fat or diet or 'lite'. Just use real food in the right quantities and you'll get back on track.
Moreless has given you some valuable information there and I hope you'll take your time reading it
Hello Nannieann 😁 Welcome to the forum. If it’s support and encouragement you want you’ve come to the right place. There are lots of people ready to cheer you on with your goals and to chat to when you’re bored! You’ve obviously done well with losing weight in the past and I’m sure when you’ve got the momentum going you’ll get back on track! All the best 👍 x
Hello......please don’t be bored, life is too short, food can never give you a hug, in its basic form it’s fuel. Yes we get a feel food factor from it.
The very encouraging fact is fir every 1lb lost , 5 lbs off your kneees which should encourage you, you’ve been here before so you know what you need to do, maybe some knitting or criss stitch to keep those fingers busy, eh.
Hi Nannieann and welcome to this forum where you will find lots of support. I am 67 and also lost just over 4 stone but am ashamed to say do very little exercise. I have never in my life been to a gym but did swim twice a week until the water got too cold and I started shivering in the water so gave it up till spring. I do normal walking round the block and round different places we go to during the week but can’t say my exercise level has been very good . What I am trying to say is that you can do it with the minimum of exercise and you say you take the dog out 3 times a day....so don’t be too hard on yourself. I took up knitting as suggested by a counsellor and found out what our local special care baby unit wanted in the way of hats for premature babies, they don’t take long to make and the pile soon mounts up and it stops me from getting bored. You obviously know what to eat as you have lost so much in the past. Perhaps start from scratch again, weigh and write everything down , counting the calories for a while to make sure you haven’t slipped into any bad habits. You can do it just don’t be too disheartened. I know it doesn’t help walking when you have problems with osteoarthritis but am sure walking your dog will ease your condition. Make a new start, we are all behind you. Have a lovely Christmas and I look forward to following your progress. All the best Sue 🎉🎉🎉
I feel so reassured by you ladies of wisdom, little changes that make big differences! I get anxious about always being and doing the right things at the right time for people around me. I tie myself in knots, I really need to re-visit this. 💕
Thanks for replying
You need to make time for yourself and try to stop getting anxious about being and doing the right things for people around you. The people who really matter to you and who you matter to just don’t need you to keep trying to do the right things. Just be yourself and those around you will support you . Well done on your 7 lb weight loss already. Have a lovely Christmas 🎉🎉🎉Sue
