Fit is Fun Club for exercise f/w 10th March 16th March

Hi everyone! We are having a really raining weather for the past 2 weeks. And I have been really busy because I bought a new house last week so very little exercise appart from cleaning and moving boxes. I have not yet moved to my new house so I will be busy for a few weeks!!!

This is an all inclusive club, to cover all activity and all abilities and the aim is for each of us to highlight our preferred activities to give us all new ideas for exercise.

This thread will be open from Monday 17th March to Sunday 23th March 2025 . The idea is for you to post your exercise achievements from last week and your proposed goals for this coming week. This will not be a competition, but declared plans are easier to stick to and encouragement and support from fellow members are good motivators.

By setting ourselves short, mid range and possibly long term goals we achieve a little at a time and with the forum family encouraging us each step along the way we may surprise ourselves by what we achieve. Any and all exercise counts, from housework to marathon running, armchair exercises to wheelchair basketball. Your only limitation will be your imagination

We love to see photos, so please take as many as you wish when you're out and about, in the gym, at your fitness class, or boogying down in front of your TV. Post your pictures in your reply. It would be lovely to see some pics related to your exercise!!

Please take some time to encourage your fellow FiF'ers, as this is all about giving each other support and inspiration.

Unless you want to see pictures of my new house I have to share a pic taken two weeks ago. We climb the stairs to the top of the tower ohhhh it was really hard!!

Good morning  xx2000 .

Had another good week exercising in amongst the social events .

Due to the socialising I didn’t manage to get to as many classes last week . I still managed 3 gym sessions , 3 classes, a long walk and a home yoga session.

As I’ve got short chunky legs and quite a belly I find some yoga moves difficult. It great when I’m in class as the yoga instructor gives me help . So I’ve found a few online yoga instructors that are more my shape so I can follow got home yoga.

This week I plan to do 3 gym sessions and 5 classes . I’m also planning a long walk with my husband on Friday .

Great job! 3 classes and 3 gyms sounds quite a lot to me. I think yoga is great for mobility and stretching. I follow one yoga teacher on Instagram that is plus size and she gives great tips. I will send you the link later. Enjoy your week and have fun!!

I took early retirement and joined a gym in the summer. Do I normally do a class and gym on Tuesday , 2 classes Wednesday and 2 Thursday . As my husband was away on the weekend I did a gym session on Saturday and Sunday morning . It’s surprising how much energy I have now

thank you for hosting this week- I still dog sitting for my sister but they come back tomorrow so tomorrow will be the last day of dog walking😁 I’ll be back to my usual routine on Thursday no more dog walking twice a day☹️. My goals for last week was 7 days of 15000+ steps (achieved) and 3 sessions of stretch bands- but only managed 2- I got distracted by Marvel films binge watching yesterday and forgot to do the 3rd stretch bands session😊, though I did do 60 mins of weeding. I managed 317 mins exercise- 257 mins brisk walking, 30 mins stretch band exercises and 60 mins gardening. With the help of Archie (my sister’s dog) I managed 132247 steps (56.6m) though sometimes it meant going out in the cold and rain- the downside of having a dog🤪. A very good week on the whole exercise wise- good wise not so good!

This week I plan to do 3 sessions of strength exercise and 2 sessions of cardio. I plan to complete 5 days of 10000 steps of which 3 will be 15000 steps hopefully.

Didn’t quite get home in time to avoid the next rain shower

Wow!! You are breaking records!! I am sure you enjoy alfies walks even in bad weather. Stretching exercises are great. I am going some sit streaching exercises, short and managebles... compatible with tv binges 🤣

Alfie is my friends dog Archie us my sister’s I know it’s confusing even I sometimes call them by the wrong name so next week when I hopefully be able to take Alfie for a walk I’ll be calling him Archie!
