Just wanted to say Hi I wasn't sure if I should join at first but after reading quite a few posts on here it made me get my act together and be motivated like you all. Today I am going to plan my meals for me and my hubby (he needs to lose as well) and tomorrow will will be day one of a new start. Thanks Gill

Hi Welcome to the group. I find it is so important to plan my meals ahead so I know what I am doing each day . I use the Myfitnesspal app as it counts the calories for you. Also it will tell you what you have burned up in exercise. Such a useful tool.

Meal planning and knowing what you are going to be eating each day before hand is definitely one of the keys to successful weight loss in my opinion.
It's great that you are making these changes as a couple as you'll be able to support each other just be aware though that any co dependency can also work against you, if one breaks then sometimes it can be the tipping point for the other, so be prepared to give each other a stern talking to in that situation

Hello Gill, good luck on your journey. Think it will be better if hubby does it too as you won't have to have treats in for him. I too have started today so know how you feel.
