Got 1st blood results since starting Ndt, my T4 is down and T3 up, should I increase NDT or try LDN?

Hi, I've been on NDT 2 grains for almost 3 months now. After 3 weeks on it, I started to feel worse & so I started taking full dose first thing and chew tablets now. I've started to feel a bit better in the past 2 weeks and have had a few days where I don't feel like falling asleep and can do a 10 min walk once or twice a day. My blood pressure has dropped from 120/60 to 97-105/47-53 and blood sugar has risen to 6-7.2 in the past 2 weeks and I've had dizzy spells, blurred vision and fatigue a few times when going to the shop. So I stopped taking progesterone pessary on Sunday and blood sugar is back in range and my blood pressure is starting to go up.Just got my test results for thyroid & sex hormones. My T4 has dropped from 17 to 12 (12-22) but T3 rose from 4.7 to 5.8. Prior to NDT I was on 87.5 Levothyroxine and 10 Liothyronin. I started Levothyroxine in May 2023 and my physical ability and quality of life diminished since taking it.

I have had health problems since 2007 after a tick bite & have had suspected drug induced lupus, Lyme, MCAS and Anti-phosholid syndrome (sticky blood) since. None of this is treated or diagnosed as they seemed to think it was all in my head, as they do! Anyway I kept well by avoiding foods, chemicals, etc and lots of running and cycling. I read that to have a stable thyroid any underlying conditions need to be treated. So I'm wondering if LDN would help some of the underlying conditions I have and in turn help my thyroid. What do you think the next steps for me should be?

I have an appt with private thyroid doc soon. However at my last appt with them I felt that they didn't take into account my underlying problems and sensitivity to excipients in medications. They just said I could have lactose free ndt or gluten free ndt and that I couldn't have both dairy and gluten free, so I opted for Armour.

Thanks lots 😊

Sorry you haven’t had any replies.

My comment will bring your post back up the news feed & hopefully members can review.

Your other option is to start new post/s. It might help to make a separate query about LDN which will flag those with any experience with it.

While another post can focus solely on thyroid function & replacement adjustments?

Thanks so much, I'm planning to repost, and make it a bit simpler, just not been well the past few days.

Hey there again :

Have you thought any more to taking a capsule / powdered version of NDT as suggested a month ago ?

Thanks, yes I have, I just though I'd give it the 3 months as advised by thyroid doc and then discuss options with her next week.
