I've just had latest results back from medichecks, I like to get these before I go and see my GP for nhs testing!
After my last set of results in March when I was feeling so awful I increased my levothyroxine from 50mg to 75mg - my symptoms have improved a little but I still feel that I am probably undermedicated and feel so tired all the time. I go to bed about 9pm and wake at 6am and still feel tired all day. I'm thinking I need to up my vit D supplement too. My current weight is 105kg!
Please can you cast your expert eyes over my results and let me know your thoughts?
I also suffer from Polymyalgia and take steroids. I have recently tapered to 5mg of prednisolone and wonder if my adrenal glands are being sluggish in waking up and this could be contributing to the fatigue?

So.... you are only on about half the dose we'd roughly expect you to be on 105 x 1.6 = 168mcg
The trouble is your GP will only look at your TSH which as far as they are concerned is 'perfect'! As they rarely understand the 'free's' which they don't test for!
It is looking like you have Secondary Hypo which is when the pituitary isn't requesting enough hormone to be made by raising your TSH
Free T4 (fT4) 14.8 pmol/L (12 - 22) 28.0%
Free T3 (fT3) 3.8 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 18.9%
T4:T3 Ratio 3.895
If they refuse to increase your dose you'll need to ask for a referral to an Endocrinologist, you could check the list and request one by name in your area... thyroiduk.org/contact-us/ge...
I believe the Prednisolone will have been slowing your conversion of T4 into T3 and longer term I believe it slows down T3 and T4 production so this might be a co factor to consider.
Your inflammation is very high and over range - as it was last time - do we know what is causong your body to be so stressed - as this can down regulate thyroid hormones ?
Your conversion of the pro-hormone T4 into T3 the active hormone that runs the body is under 4 and good -
I just think you need to continue building up your T4 dose into the top quadrant of the range -
probably to around 80 % through its range and hopefully your T3 will continue to build to around 70% through its range - with your hypothyroid symptoms relieved. -
as it is too low a T3 for you that causes all the symptoms of hypothyroidism.
