Hi all, I posted the below message recently and got some good feedback. I have now started on one Liposomal B complex tablet per day. I haven't been taking any vitamin K2 recently but previously took Vitabay. Is this a good vitamin brand for K2 or are there better brands out there ? I typically take my B complex and vit d tablets at lunch and would take K2 later in the afternoon / early evening.
Looking at the below results, are there any foods I should really try and incorporate to boost vitamin levels (iron rich foods or others) ?
Dear all, I have posted on the group a few times before but would like to take further feedback on recent blood tests from 14th February. I am currently taking 150 mcg levo thyroxine in the morning, c. 1hr before breakfast & caffeine. I am also taking one Doctor's Best vit D3 2000IU and one Super B complex (Igennus) daily. No vitamins taken 7 days before blood test. Also taking 2-3 brazil nuts for selenium most days. Is my understanding correct that vit K2 should be taken c. 4 hours away from B complex ? Other background details: 38 yr old male, 70kg, c. 6ft in height.
TSH = 0.42 mu/L (range=0.3 - 5.5)
Free T3 = 4.9 (range=3.1 - 7.0)
Free T4 = 23.9 (range=11.5 - 22.7) -> above range
Folate = 14.5 (range=3.9 - 20.0)
Ferritin = 85 (range=30 - 284)
Vitamin D = 88 (range=50 - 125.0)
B12 = 682 (range=223 - 1132.0)
Thyroid peroxidase = <25 (range=0 - 33.9)
Symptoms still remain including muscle aches & pains, poor concentration, low mood, energy levels etc. I suspect this could be related to relatively low t3 through range ? Are there any views on t3 and t4 percentages through these ranges ? I am also struggling to get hold of thorne basic B complex, is there any advice on vitamin B supplements other than Igennus as this also contains vit C ?

Your FT3 is very close but not quite there. To be well I would expect FT3 to be around 60-70% of range.
Which B complex were you taking prior to this test? You mention the Igennus one but also a liposomal one. If you were only taking one of the Igennus the actual dose is for 2 so only half dose. Thorne Basic B is available from several sources including ebay at the moment. There is another similar product with similar ingredients that some poeple are using now. amazon.co.uk/Liposomal-Soft...
Vitabay brand has been mentioned here as a good source of K2.
Your ferritin is very close to optimal so a bit more red meat, chicken livers, pate in your diet will get it to 100.
I see you have previously tried gluten free but struggled with it. Worth trying it again. There are so many gluten free options now, even when eating out. May well help your symptoms.
Thanks for the feedback. I was on Igennus before my blood test and have been taking Liposomal B complex after the test so hopefully this helps on a better dose. Will try and include more iron in my diet including red meat etc and give gluten free another try. Does my vitamin D level look ok ? or should I increase the vitamin dosage ?
For Vit K2-MK7 I like Vitabay or Vegavero brands which contain the correct form of K2-MK7 - the "All Trans" form rather than the "Cis" form. The All Trans form is the bioactive form, a bit like methylfolate is the bioactive form of folic acid. These brands aren't available everywhere, Amazon and Ebay do sell them but sometimes they are unavailable whilst waiting for more stock to come from Germany.
Those two brands are still the ones I suggest and I currently use Vegavero if they're not available then make sure that any other brand you are considering says that it is the All Trans form.
