Both sets of results are fairly similar and within the realms of natural fluctuation so there's no dramatic change.
As ferritin is recommended to be half way through range, your level is low for that range. However, the range is very wide, we usually see that for males (of course, I don't know if you are male )

That is a massive dose of D3 for someone who already had a level of 71.7nmol/L. 10,000iu would be a loading dose for a couple of weeks for someone who had Vit D Deficiency. For your level the Vit D Council would recommend about 3000iu D3 daily to reach their recommended level of 125nmol/L. I have to say I am amazed that your Vit D level hasn't shot up. When I was Vit D deficient (15nmol/L) I raised my level to 202 in 2.5 months by taking Doctor's Best D3 softgels and I didn't take 10,000iu daily for all that time.
also Vit B super complex
Your folate level has reduced considering you're taking B complex.
I'm wondering if you have an absorption problem looking at your Vit D and Folate levels. Either that or the brands you're using just don't suit you.
Thank you for your reply. I to was amazed that my folate and Vit D were so low also my B12 as I Inject IM regularly twice a week. I use healthy origins vitamin D3 10000 iu and igennus super b complex high potency. I also use Vitabay magnesium malate 1000mg x3 a day and natural vitality calm powder before bed. I know 10000 iu of Vit D3 is not high but neither is it toxic levels.

I didn't say your B12 level was low, in fact it is very good. I said it's your Folate result that is low and that it's surprising considering you take a B complex which contains methylfolate.
Are you taking 1 or 2 of the Igennus B Complex? If only taking 1 then I think you'd be better taking 2 daily, which is the dose suggested on the pack, as that will give 400mcg methylfolate which is the normal dose when taking a B Complex to try and raise folate. It will, however, give 900mcg methylcobalamin as well.
I know 10000 iu of Vit D3 is not high but neither is it toxic levels.
10,000iu is high for most people as a regular daily dose, and it's not the amount you take that is "toxic level" but the level of Vit D when measured that can reach toxic level. For someone to take 10,000iu daily all the time and not have a high level of Vit D when tested is very unusual. The NHS lab which does private testing for the public considers a level above 220nmol/L increases the risk of toxicity.
I do apologise I meant my B12 was the same result in November/April and I will take 2 a day of B super complex as was only taking 1. I went on grassroots Vit D calculator and converted my Medichecks result 79.6 nmol/L to ng/mL 32.1 and it advises me to supplement 10,000iu on top of the 10,000iu I’m already taking to reach 100ng/mL. Have I worked this out correctly? My weight 258 Lbs thank you
You don't need to convert from nmol/L to ng/ml. If you really want to then all you do is divide your nmol/L level by 2.5 to give the ng/ml level, which is 79.6nmol/L = 31.84ng/ml.
The Vit D Council recommends a level of 125nmol/L (or 50ng/ml) and the Vit D Society recommends 100-150nmol/L (or 40-60ng/ml).
GrassrootsHealth has a Partnership with 48 World-Renowned Vitamin D Researchers
GrassrootsHealth is not just another health web site. Instead it is the amalgamation of many vitamin D scientists from around the world and across many disciplines. 48 scientists worked together to create our call to action. 48 scientists have agreed that there is no perfect supplement amount, instead blood levels must be tested, and that level should be 40-60 ng/ml (100-150 nmol/L). Much research, not just one study, is behind our mission to make vitamin D testing and monitoring part of standard of care for ALL people.
If you use the Vit D Calculator (rather than the Serum Level Converter) it says
Use this tool to calculate the estimated additional Vitamin D intake needed to reach your target vitamin D serum level (40-60 ng/ml recommended by our scientist panel).
Where have got that the desired serum level needs to be 100ng/ml from?
Hi SlowDragon no not on Levo and these bloods are follow up from nhs last August and Medichecks in November. Trying to find out why thyroid glands so swollen all the time.
This is just an observation but has your TSH always dropped to a lower level and then gone up? Sometimes when you have your blood test can influence your TSH and you should always have it first thing in morning before any food. Mine is quite low at 0.38 but that is because I have Graves' disease and a multi-nodular goitre. Also have you ever had an ultrasound of your thyroid to see if it is enlarged or has any nodules?
I don’t know about levels as this only my 2nd Medichecks thyroid test. All others NHS which I have results for but no reference ranges. November results 0730 ish fasted and April results 0620 fasted. No scan on thyroid as all appointments cancelled. My thyroid at night feels like I’m wearing a neck brace. Last examination by GP was informed bloods normal just tail end of infection
