Hashimoto's patient feeling exhausted: full blood results, any advice?

I've posted before and was advised to get a full set of blood tests and post the results here for the Thyroid experts to look at and advise on what else I might try to combat my fatigue.

From what I understand, those T3 and T4 levels are pretty much ok? The slightly elevated red blood cell count and platelet count is not much to worry about? And the iron is low but not low enough to qualify for an iron IV on the NHS.

I'm considering paying privately for an iron IV treatment (£650 that we don't have lying around! But I could scrape it together...) purely because I've been feeling so crap for so long and am desperate to try anything that might help.

If I'm barking up the wrong tree here and there's anything else any wise person would suggest trying first, please let me know - I'm all ears!

hi, I see from your previous post you already know you have Hashimoto’s, are you taking Levothyroxine? What is your dose?

Can you describe ’crap’ more info on the symptoms would be good.

have you had B12, Vitamin D, Ferritin and Folate tested recently?

are you on any supplements?

How is your diet?

Have you already tried an exclusion diet for gluten/dairy/soy etc?

What time of day was your blood test? Did have medication beforehand? Did you stop any supplements with Biotin for 3-7 days before testing?

I’d query the high in range Serum Alkaline Phosphatase with the GP and ask what this is a sign of.

Mine's been out of range (occasionally at the high end but mostly out of range) for over a year now and my GP didn't even bother mentioning it let alone tell me I was being tested for it. I only found out when I asked for my medical records in July. It did go to 175U/L but last test was 153.

Amongst other things, over range can be an indication of Coeliac disease Jacula. I'm having my test in 6 weeks time (I don't eat a whole lot of gluten in the summer so I'm making an effort to 'gluten load' before I book the test).

With your ferritin being low in range I know from personal experience how ill I felt when mine was a similar level.

Also I lost a lot of hair and it thinned out all over my head with a few tiny bald patches.

As Regenallotment mentions do you have any results for B12, folate or vitamin D?

Again I had a vitamin D deficiency at one point and felt terrible; bone and joint pain, daily headaches, weak arm muscles (couldn't lift my arms above my head)

If you have any blood test results for B12, folate and vitamin D post them and others can comment on them.

Even if you did pay for iron infusion privately, if you don’t address the underlying issues you might need another iron transfusion in a year

Have you had coeliac blood test done

Are you on strictly gluten free diet

What are Vitamin D, folate and B12 results

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Just for future reference, results are often given by GPs and surgeries with lots of codes and words that obscure the actual data and make then harder to read for amateurs like us. Your results are easier to read like this - the exclamation marks indicate results which are out of range :

Regarding your high platelets...

If you find some good links on the subject, could you pass them on to me please. My platelets are also slightly out of range and have been multiple times over the last few years. My GP totally ignored them when they showed up on an NHS test and didn't comment on them. I only found out after I asked for a copy of the results. I haven't found out anything about the problem I consider helpful. *Sigh*
