CRP HS 3 mg/L

Ferritin 95.7ug/L

Folate - Serum 11 ug/L

B12 - active 127.000pmol/L

Vitamin D 69.7 nmol/L

TSH 0.605 mIU/L

Free T3 4.29pmo/L

Free Thyroxine 21.7pmoL/L

Thyroglobulin 549.000kIU/L

Selenium 2.31 200 ug

Taking 100 Thyroxine

Igennus B complex 1tab twice a day

Magnesium Igennus Triple magnesium 1 tab 3 times a day

Selenium 2oo a day

Zinc 22mg a day

Anastrozole 1mg day (7th year after Breast Cancer - 3 more to go)

Calcium and D3 (Ostopenia - from GP} calcium 600 mg and D3 400 twice a day

I also take Vitamin D and K2 sublingual 2000 per day.

The selenium brings the antibodies down slowly but have been advised to reduce or stop taking. Your thoughts please as I am in a quandry as to what to do.

I am feeling reasonable in relation to the thyroid but discomfort from osteopenia (vertebrae wedging) is beginning to get me down. Weight is nt going down but does remain relatively constant.

Thanks once again for your valuable input.

I'm afraid we need the ranges for those results. Ranges vary from lab to lab, so we need those that went with your results.

Did your doctor test your calcium before putting you on all that? Calcium supplements are not good things to take, and it's doubtful that you're deficient in calcium, anyway. Besides, taking D3 increases your absorption of calcium from food, which should be enough. Calcium is not the most important mineral for bones, despite what doctors think. And excess will give you more brittle bones, and cause all sorts of other things. More is not better.

Why were you told to stop the selenium? Why are you taking it, anyway? There's no proof that selenium does reduce antibodies. You may get a lower result on a blood test, but there's nothing to say that they won't go up again, because antibodies fluctuate all the time. Besides, reducing antibodies does not mean you've reduced your Hashi's. You still have Hashi's, and always will.

What selenium is good for is conversion and your conversion looks to be pretty bad. So, maybe a good idea to continue the selenium for that reason. But, too much selenium isn't good, either. So, if your level has gone over-range, yes, you do need to stop it for a while. Retest at a later date and see if it's gone down again. :)
