Just looking for some advice, as I’m at a loss what to do from here.
I’m thinking perhaps I need to add more T4 (Levothyroxine).
I have Hashimotos and tried T4 via the NHS, I felt awful on it, and despite my blood results looking good (posted them on here) I decided to ditch Levothyroxine.
T3 wasn’t very successful, so tried NDT. I started NDT back in November 2018 and increased very slowly.
The issue I have is that I can’t seem to get passed 2&1/2 grains without feeling anxious, jittery, shaky and pulse racing.
Here are my blood results on NDT, I know they say you go by how your feeling but I did bloods so I know my sweet spot.
January 2019 results on 2&1/4 grains
TSH 0.103 (0.27-4.20)
T4 12.600 (12.00-22.00)
T3 5.44( 3.10-6.80)
Didn’t feel well so increased by 1/2 grain.
March 2019 on 2&1/2 grains
TSH 0.01(0.27-4.20)
T4 17.60(12.00-22.00)
T3 8.29(3.1-6.8)
Vitamins
Ferritin 90.3 (13-150)
B12 724 (over range)
Folate 29.30 (8.83-60.8)
Vitamin D 125
I felt very anxious, spaced out, which I presume was due to, too much T3 as per results.
As I didn’t feel great on 2&1/4 & 2&1/2 grains thought I would add a little T4 12.5mcg every other day and reduce to 2 grains.
June 2019 2 grains & 12.5mcg every other day.
TSH 0.043 (0.27-4.2)
T4 13.4 (12-22)
T3 7.41 (3.1-6.8)
I stick to that dosage of 2 grains and 12.5mcg and still not perfect, memory terrible, freezing cold, despite that short heatwave, shaking and general feeling so low in mood and now hair loss and muscular pains coming back, I did another test with Medi checks offer.
July 2019 still 2 grains and 12.5mcg T4 every other day.
TSH 0.045(0.27-4.2)
T4 10.400(12-22)
T3 4.99(3.1-6.8)
Ferritin 109(13-150)
Folate serum 6.91(>3.89)
Vitamin B12 254.00(37.5-188)
Vitamin D 100(50-175)
It appears when I increase my NDT it sends my T3 over range, but I need more T4 as it’s under.
I honestly thought that my T3 results would be sky high, but what the hells going on with me. At the moment I’m mentally confused presume it’s the results.
I’ve had several salvia tests and both show high cortisol morning and mid morning and very low DHEA results.
I’m strictly gluten free, and avoid all refined sugars and rubbish.
All the test were leaving 8-12 hour gap with NDT and Levothyroxine 24 hours. Carried out around 8am in the morning. I keep the test at constant times.
Best wishes
