Graves and help with test results please as still feeling unwell.

I was diagnosed with Graves disease in 2007 with following results:

Serum free T3 24.4 (Range 3.9-6.7)

Serum TSH less than 0.01 Range (0.27-4.2)

Thyroid peroxidase antibody level 360 (Range 0-50)

TSH receptor antibody level 2.3 (Range 0-0.4)

Plus thyroid ultrasound scan indicated Graves Disease

I achieved remission with Carbimazole and remained well until October 2016. A bad car accident triggered a second episode and by August 2017 I had the following results:

Serum T4 44 (Range 12-22)

Serum free T3 9.3 (Range 3.1-6.8)

Serum TSH less than 0.01 Range (0.27-4.2)

TSH receptor antibody level High (I don't have the level)

Ultrasound scan indicative of graves

Further treatment with carbimazole has lowered my levels and latest readings including vitamins are as follows:

Jan 2019

Serum T4 17 (Range 12-22)

Serum TSH 1.26 (Range 0.27-4.2)

Serum Anti TPO antibodies 20 (Range above 34)

Combined D2+D3 60 (Range 50-200)

Serum B12 491 (197-771)

Serum ferritin 93 (Range 13-150)

Serum Iron 12.1 (Range 5.8-34.5)

Serum transferrin 2.2 (Range 2.0-3.6)

I have been gluten free for 6 months, and am also following an autoimmune protocol diet as much as possible. I have however put on weight, and continue to have symptoms of fatigue and widespread muscle pain. I currently take Vitamin D spray 3,000 units daily, and stopped my small dose of carbimazole 2.5mg alternate days, about 4 weeks ago.

I was diagnosed with osteopenia following a DEXA scan before Christmas and my GP has suggested taking Adcal-D3 which I have not yet started. My blood test showed:

Serum calcium 2.43 (Range 2.2-2.6)

My GP tells me that all my readings are now 'normal', yet I still don't feel particularly well, and struggle with widespread pain in my joints (I have some osteoarthritis in my fingers) and muscles, fatigue after exercising and a certain amount of 'brain fog'. If any of you knowledgeable people could cast an eye over my results and give me any advice on what else I can do I would be grateful.

I don't see my Endo until September this year.

Your T3 may be low. Are you on levothyroxine at all? I had widespread joint and muscle pain fall of last year, and am now on levo and SR T3 and am doing well, pain is mostly gone. I get very bad tendonitis and muscle cramps when my T3 is low.

Thank you for your reply, my last T3 was 3.9 in September 2018 range 3.9 to 6.8, so maybe a little on the low side. It is difficult to persuade the lab to test it through my GP, and only seems to get done with my consultant. I am not on Levo, as was not on block and replace, just carbimazole. I am wondering if my levels are just too low for me, or if I have some other issue as well such as fibromyalgia? Trying to be patient, as I know it can take some time to balance out, but thought I would feel better than this now. I am wondering if my vitamin levels are optimal too?
