Almost six weeks ago I had my thyroid and a parathyroid removed. I had a multinoldular goiter with too many nodules to count that I had been watching with blood tests and sonograms for 10 years. My blood levels were at the high normal range for hyperthyroidism. During the operation it was discovered that the thyroid was completly inflamed.
I now take 0.1 mg Eltroxin.
I also have Osteoporosis discovered after I broke my wrist at age 50 (I am now 54). The first two years of Bon Viva did nothing, it got worse, so I am now taking Prolia since almost 2 years.
Following the operation my constant state of anxiety disappeared as well as my eye problems - Blepharitis.
Currently I am in the States and return home to Switzerland in the morning. I will be going in for some bloodwork soon after landing.
My surgeon has recommended tests for:
PTH
TSH
T3
T4
Ferritin
B12
Vitamin D
Calcium
Does anyone recommend anything else that I should add to it while I am there?
Warm regards, Carmen
