Hyperparathyroidism, PTH intact

Does anyone else have high PTH intact levels? If so, what is your level and what stage CKD are you and what treatment are you taking? What, if anything did you doctor say about it. My PTH has been rising. One article says it is because of CKD and another says it causes CKD.

RBC AND PTH improvement

My RBC is low and my PTH is high. How do I improve on these two with meds and or diet. My nephro and head nurse ( in center) are not very enthusiastic about it. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? Thanks

PTH testing

I requested my medical records and noted that the PTH sample I had taken was lost so there are no level for that. Is it important that I pursue this? I think it must be as it is one of the tests requested when a patient is diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Pth blood test

My Pth lab test showed 76, the normal number is 54. She said my parathyroid was the cause. Something about taking my calcium out of my bones. I don't understand. I have made an appointment with a Urologist.

Raised Parathyroid Levels

I didn't see the PTH test so assumed they hadn't bothered as the others were normal. However got a phone call from my GP this morning saying PTH elevated, needs retesting in 3 months. Logged in to my online access and my result was 7.8 and the range ends at 6.9.

Graves, on carbimazole for 10 months

Last time in Nov the endo said he would test my PTH because my adjusted calcium was just under range (not for the first time). Since Dec I have been supplementing VitD+K, Magnesium glycinated and Yarrow B12 complex.

Replace calcium with vitamin d

My question is: is there someone that has low PTH and has replaced taking calcium with taking vitamin D? If so, how much vitamin D do you take and how often?

PTH levels

Bloods have just come back and my PTH is 9.3 measurement here is 18-88 for normal. Also ESR raised to 14 when its always between 5 and 8 even before diagnosis and steroids. Is there anything I should be asking next week about these figures please.

Parathyroid Hormone

I have had approximately 6 shots and each time my PTH increases greatly until time for the next shot when it falls below normal levels. These increases in PTH have caused high calcium levels and a condition called caliciphylaxis which can become deadly.
