Maybe there is more powerful medications against PTH?

Please share what you did for high pth and what was the result.

I am having a calcium and PTH blood test this afternoon. I asked the nurse whether it needed to be fasting and if it could be affected by biotin and she said no. Having just looked up to see what PTH actually is I see it is measuring a protein hormone in parathyroid glands.

By contrast, PTH replacement therapy can effectively achieve normal serum levels of calcium, and lower serum levels of phosphate. The long-acting PTH analogue, palopegteriparatide, has been shown to normalize urine levels of calcium. In addition, PTH replacement therapy reduces the pill burden.

I was very interested in the one which you can put on your skin👍 that seems a good option, I was going to to the experiment where I don't take the vit d and see if my pth stays over range or goes back in to range, but I know my gp will just jump on that by saying "well your not doing as instructed "

It's been a long time since I've had my PTH level checked. I was reading that you should have ongoing annual check-ups of calcium and PTH levels to detect any long-term changes or recurrence of hyperparathyroidism. I feel fine and don't have the symptoms when I was diagnosed in 2014.
