How long does it take for Prolia (denosumab) to fully leave your system? That is, as if you had never taken.

Incorrect for Prolia to have been prescribed. At 53 years of age. At that point I was on Fosamax - stop it & just go with HRT.

I recently - this morning - posted about the drug Denosumab used for treating osteoporosis, and have received a reply that the drug is also known as Prolia. So if anybody has had any experience of this drug I would be happy to know of it - side effects, usefulness etc.

However, my rheumatologist is telling me I am still at risk for fracture and is recommending towards the end of this year that I start Prolia. I do not want to start Prolia. My question is whether anyone has experience ceasing Fosamax and then starting Evenity or any other recommendations.

No more prolia for me.. going back to strontium citrate with my GP’s permission.

I have been taking shot of Prolia and shot of methotrexate every Tuesday.i have no pain but have tender spots on my head and if does not hurt to touch. I only seem to have it in my temple are and top and back of head.. I had a mri of my head a few years ago.

My GP is keen on Prolia but I am not. So not sure where to go from here.

I’ve recently had a prolia injection and I read the leaflet and one of the more common side effects are headaches. I have had a headache daily for the past month…. has anyone suffered this particular side effect? And was it an initial headache or long term? Thank you for your kind attention.

Anyone use both of those, Prolia and Zometa? Experiences?

Iv been having Prolia injections next will be my 4th.Has anybody been on this injection and made them feel anxious and tired. I used to play crown green bowls but had to stop. I'm feeling isolated not going out and miss all the company. It's good to read other people's stories.

I am due for my second prolia shot in March 2025. No pain from my osteoporosis. No significant pain from shot. Skin on chest rash, itchy skin after shot for about a month. Some achy joints. More headaches. I have read on here that if you stop after 1st shot not as bad rebound.

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place: damned if I take the Prolia, and damned if I don’t. -3.6 spine z score, and have reacted badly to all the oral medications, and to teraparitide. I only have one option left.: zoledronic acid.

Also have Osteoporosis and had Prolia injections every 6 months in Australia for 6 years. Back in the UK was told 'We don't do that' so only calcium tablets. Well 6 fractures later and an inch shorter.

After a year, T12 fracture (kyphoplasty surgery scheduled next week) Now they are suggesting 1 of 3 options -- Forteo, Prolia, or Evenity. She's on heart medications for flutters and also has had 3 different cancers. Just last week, surgery to remove tumors in her bladder.

Had no meds until 2020 when I had 1 Prolia injection which gave me horrible muscle/joint pain. I'm now in severe osteoporosis with spine at -3.6 and hips just into osteoporosis and my GP has suggested I restart Fosamax. Has anyone here taken a 2nd course of Bisphosphonate after a long gap?

I have been taking Prolia injections since 11/11/2022 and the recent result show that my bone density, lumbar region has dropped ? My Gynaecologist suggests Bonviva and advice

I have been advised to have Prolia for my bones . I am very anxious about this due to the side effects on possible uti's of which I have had many in the past. Added to this I have so many allergies so running out of antibiotics to give me. Any advise would be appreciated, thank you

Had 1 Prolia in Feb 12. Had CTX done so I can start Reclast. CTX is 89. Has ANYONE had Reclast going in with a score of 89?

I also used Prolia from 2019 - 2023. I’m in the USA. I appreciate your input based on your experience with these treatments. Thank you
