prolia

I will be starting Prolia soon. It is important to get your vitamin levels up. It will help your immune system. I know at least five women taking Prolia and none of those had any problems with it. I decided that any side effects could not be as bad as a broken back.

Discontinuing Prolia

When I suggested Fosamax until I was past the time when I made might experience reversal bone loss due to PROLIA she said it wouldn’t be any different than taking the PROLIA., the possible side affects were the same. She did prescribe Fosamax which I asked for but I felt she wasn’t happy about it.

Corticosteroids injectins while on Prloia

Hi All, Has anyone had the experience of Corticosteroid injections into the L l4/5 and L5/S1 Facet joints while on Prolia. I have concerns about the risk of severe infection in the joint. Have had to take repeated Antibiotics for UTI's -never had one in my life before Prolia.

Prolia and Osteoporosis

I didn’t want to take any of the oral medicines so chose Prolia. One reason I decided on Prolia was the advice I got from a respected cancer doctor who said definitely do the Prolia. I took the shots for two years and my osteoporosis actually turned into osteopenia.

Prednisone, Prolia, osteoporosis, dental work

Yes, my primary care physician said the Prolia injections for osteoporosis frequently cause jaw necrosis. They "forgot" to mention that when they gave me the first shot. I'll never take it again. With oral biphosphates, they can be stopped but once you have the Prolia injection, it's in you!

medication or not

Since I have a sensitive stomach my doctor recommended Prolia. I read about side effects of Prolia and I don't want to take it. What are the alternatives?

reporting on visit to Dr with possibility of cell therapy

I asked what was the most effective drug for osteoporosis and he replied that it was prolia. Heaven help us if that’s all we have. Back to square one for me.

Denosumab (prolia)

Im due to start this new treatment for me, prolia and feeling a liitle apprehensive as i have read that 'stopping treatment can increase yyourrick of spinal fractures'... The chances of me tolerating this is slim yet trying it could make things worse...

HELP! I'm New to osteoporosis - should I take meds?

I've had doctors talk about medications but when I read the side effects and consider not being able to stop them (in the case of Prolia... which was highly recommended) I am very concerned. Has anyone had good results with meds? Fosamax? Prolia? I really what to be able to turn this around.

There is no way I will ever take Prolia or any one of the bisphosphonates...

To me it seems like a game of Russian roulette to risk getting horrendous side effects that might be long-lasting and then to have to be on Prolia life-long if it worked.

prolia

I have been advised to start with Prolia injections. I have osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic kidney disease and lupus. Is there anyone who can tell me what to expect? Or can anyone advise me to do differently
