Eltroxin

Haven’t been able to source the t3 so went back to NHS, they wouldn’t prescribe T3 but suggest the Eltroxin. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hi Everyone, I’ve been to collect my repeat prescription of Eltroxin 50mcg from Superdrug and they’ve told me it has been discontinued. Does anyone know if this is correct? Is anyone else having difficulties or can tell me where I can get Eltroxin?

Three weeks ago blood test t4. 14.0 (7_16) tsh 86 (0.3_5.0) t3 4.7) on 75mg of eltroxin .started to get missed heart beats so went and had a blood test t4 22.0 tsh 0.04. t3 5.8 . Should I miss a couple of days then start on 70mg .

I started out years ago on Eltroxin, which I liked but then it disappeared. Then I had Almus for many years and then Teva when my dose was reduced to 75mcg, as presumably Almus didn't do this strength. Is anyone else on these Aristo ones and are they okay? Thanks.

My Dr prescribed 25mcg of Eltroxin (I'm 69). Two days ago I started taking 12.5mcg to see how I felt. Within an hour I had a fairly mild headache which went off after a few hours but I still felt strange. Yesterday morning I had bad anxiety but this went off over the day.

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on my blood results I’ve Hashimoto I’m on 4.5 mls low dose naltrexone and 100mcg of eltroxin mon to Fri 75 mcg sat sun and I’m also in Thybon one and half table daily just wondering if they are improving. My antibodies are reducing gradually.

Hi all, My Endocrinologist wants me to switch from T3 only, which I have been taking for several years due to intolerance to Eltroxin, to Compounded Natural Dessicated Thyroid. He said to start with 1/4 grain and work up, and to stop the T3 whilst doing so.

I decided to have one last blood test before starting to take the eltroxin. I got the result today and am dismayed to find tsh was 3.27 - this has varied in less than two months from 5.37. I really don't know what to do now as it seems my tsh is now "normal".

I've been told by GP my TSH is borderline and been prescribed 25mcg Eltroxin. I joined this forum and have found it very helpful in some respects but the amount of negativity and stories of feeling worse when starting medication have put me off from taking it.

For the last 12 years, I have been given accord levothyroxine, never had a change of brand until yesterday where I was given one box of eltroxin amongst the accord. My question is, is this likely to cause me any problems? And is accord being phased out?

Hope everyone is well I’ve recently been trialing a T4/T3 combo.I tried NDT a few years back and felt really well whilst taking it.I was taking around 2-21/2 grains a day.Stopped taking it as the prices seemed to increase and couldn’t afford it really.So thinking of adding some T3 to my 150 mcg of Eltroxin

hi everyone please help with my results from my blood test ,Tsh 0.22mu/L 0.22mu/L (0.35-5.0) freeT4(XaERr 16.8pmol/L(9.0-20.0 wheiht loss feeling high and low, taking 75miro of E ltroxin just three days of50 I’m all over the place thank you buffy77🥶 I have hashimo since 2002 and are tacking eltroxin

The reason is that when I was on Eltroxin or Armour I had negative symptoms - heart palpitations, eye stiffness, brain fog, fatigue etc. So I was put on T3 only.

I have no idea about the levels to be honest i don’t understand what T4 and all the other numbers mean 🤣 I had a blood test and i was put on a different brand Eltroxin 50 but can it be the tablets that are making me depressed and my anxiety is gone sky high.

However that GP retired and his replacement has repeatedly refused to prescribe Eltroxin on the basis that my TSH is "in range" and although some would say very borderline.

I stopped for two months so they were clear out of my system and had a blood test done he has now prescribed me Eltroxin 25 mg has anyone taken this brand and if so what are the side effects.

Endo has me on 125 Eltroxin, keeping me low TSH. He says this is best after thyroid cancer. Feeling no energy and 2 other GP say too high dose, Too low dose. I will stay with the endocrinologist advice for now. but one of the GP said don’t take added calcium. My calcium isn’t low anyway.

The Eltroxin (Ft4) plus glandular supports were most effective and my basal temperature had recovered to normal levels within 12 months.

What do I do to ensure I don’t get a different band every couple of months..my T4 is eltroxin which hadn’t been sent when I went to pick it up. Can anyone recommend a brand that is more consistent? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for all the past advice it has been a lifeline.

My bloods have been good(platelets down to 350 from 1100) but my thyroid playing up and I’m on eltroxin for that 100mg a day. I just had a call with my haematologist and MPN specialist in Dublin and she said she will probably have to move to me to Jakavi due to the interferon shortage.
