I myself have a diagnosed underactive thyroid; my wife has a diagnosed Hashimoto.
This was diagnosed 1998 in Germany where we ware in treatment on T4.
2000 we emigrated from Germany to the Canary Islands. We stopped the treatment 2001 because here in Fuerteventura the most of the symptoms were gone.
Two years ago it started again; we had all sorts of complaints where Doctors couldn’t find out what it was. It took us a year to realise that this could be the Thyroid Gland who was calling back, but here on Fuerteventura, it was impossible to get a real diagnose, as the doctors said TSH and T4 are perfect, so you are in best health. The medical documents we hat out of Germany proving that already 1998 we were in treatment, found no interest.
We started in self-medication a treatment of T4 Levoteroxin (in Spain you don’t need a prescription for levothyroxine), we got a bit better, but it wasn’t enough. So we went on our private costs (Health doesn’t has a price) to a specialist in Belgium. He has put us on a T3/T4 (Euthyral) treatment and some dietary supplements as DHEA, zinc selenium, iodine, vitamin D, that was 2 months ago and for the moment we feel quit good.
So and yet the problem: T3 or the combination T3/T4 is since February 1997 not longer commercialised in Spain. As our Dr. in Belgium is quit expensive, we cannot afford travel every 6 months to see him. We have Prescription for 6 Months so there are 4 left. As I said, Levoteroxina (Eutirox) I can get as much as I would free in every Pharmacy over here but T3 …
We are looking for a safe shopping source for T3 Liothyronine in Internet, what one can find by churching is a real jungle of anabolic providers and I am not confident that that’s the way to find real good medicine. Can anyone help us and send information by personal message.
Thank you

If you ever find out, please update your post? I am in the exact same situation. Left Brussels for Madrid last November and ran out of Euthyral. I looked for thyroid specialists in Spain and found a doctor in Valencia who specialises in thyroid issues and can help also online etc. Had my blood tested again, she only asked for TSH and T4. I insisted on testing T3 also. She gave me Eutirox(T4) and said Euthyral is bad for my heart (?) and is therefore no longer on the market. After 6 weeks of Eutirox I feel worse, so now back to my doc in Brussels forking out large sums of money to get the meds I need. Also in Brussels difficult to get euthyral but I know of at least 1 pharmacy who have no problem obtaining it.
Been thinking of buying online...not sure though how to know you're not dealing with low quality/ counterfeit.
Hi, can you private message me with the name of the doctor you saw in Brussels? I'm having a hard time finding a doctor who is willing to work with T3 medication.
Can anyone please PM me if they've found a doctor in Spain willing to prescribe T3 and ideally also tests FT3 or a doctor in France, Italy or Germany who is willing to see patients who live elsewhere privately? Thanks
