My wife was on 20mcg T3 in combo with T4 six months ago, her T3 was removed and she now feels awful, we are seeking T3 in Spain, a local chemist offered Levotiroxina but we think it is T4 not T3, my wife was on Liothyronine by Mercury Pharma in uk but this is not a supplier here in Spain, can anyone PM with any help or advice on getting T3 either in Spain or elsewhere, thank you for reading this,. Please help if you can

Jackthe1ad,

In Spanish, it is called liotironina.

I do not think there is a Spanish liothyronine product. Suspect the best you will manage is something like Sanofi Cynomel imported from France.

There have been several threads here on this subject over the years.

Many of the threads contain the Spanish name so this search finds 18 of them:

No idea of the legality of importation to Spain.

T3 is not available over the counter in Spain so if you are not resident in Spain you cannot source it from chemist.they will supply levothyroxine T4 only.

I’ve heard it’s almost impossible without a prescription in France. If you’ve been able to buy it personally maybe you could add a town? There have been several links to suggest it’s a nightmare there too.

I read it on here earlier this year. I think somebody said they bought it in south of france? Im in spain at the moment and can only get t4. Progesterone is also over the counter here.

Hi Jackthe1ad,

As Helvella said it’s not available in Spain. I checked in August bits not even on their list of meds. I’ll inbox you my supplier. I know she posts to Saudi Arabia and Italy so fingers crossed.

Sunni_88,

You should open a new post for requests as this one is 4 months old and will probably not be seen by as many people as it would on a new one.
