Last week I found the courage to aprouch my GP by e-mail to demange further evaluation of my condition, wich is feeling ill all the time.
I asked to check for a complete blood test for my Thyroid. And he kindly prescribed a bit more complete, still lacking the Reverse T3.
He actualy prefers to believe I could have fibromyalgia them my thyroid is still playing tricks so, he prescribed me Cymbalta, that leaves me drowsy and sleepy. Once I started taking it, the next day, I started sweting like crazzy!
Currently also taking 150mcg of Levo.
I tryed to tell him I could have poor T4/T3 conversion to, hopefully, see if he could prescribe me T3...
My resultes came back. What do you think?
Could you also help me calculating my t4/t3 ratio?
Thyroglobulin 5.9 (range <=55
)
Anti-Thyroglobulin(TG) <20.0=NR (range <= 40 = NR
)
Atc Anti-Thyroid Anti-Peroxidase (TPO) 66=R (range <= 35 = NR
)
TSH 0.839 (range 0.550-4.780 mUI/L
)
Free T3 (range 2.2 2.3-4.2 pg/mL
)
Free T4 1.09 (range 0.70-1.58 ng/dL
)
Iron 38 (range 30-160 μg/dL
)
Ferritine 6 (range 10 - 291 μg/L
)
B12 314 (range 246.0-911.0 pg/mL
)
VitD 29.1 (range 30-80 ng/mL)
Thank you so much!

Dalilafng Your FT4 is 44% through range so too low. Your FT3 is under range so not much conversion going on. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or below or wherever it is needed for FT4 and FT3 to be in the upper part of their respective reference ranges.
Ferritin is under range and needs addressing, iron is very low, you may have anaemia so that needs sorting.
Your B12 is low in range, what is your folate level? They work together.
Your Vit D is below range and needs supplementing.
Your vitamins and minerals are dire and all need to be optimal for thyroid hormone to be able to work, which is why there's practically no T4 to T3 conversion. He needs to treat you appropriately for nutrient deficiencies and forget the fibromyalgia diagnosis for now.
Atc Anti-Thyroid Anti-Peroxidase (TPO) 66=R (range <= 35 = NR
That's the first time I've seen it like that but I think that could indicate autoimmune thyroid disease aka Hashimoto's. Adopting a strict gluten free diet and supplementing with selenium L-selenomethionine 200mcg daily can help reduce the antibodies.
Changing to gluten free diet may help repair gut and help improve your low vitamins, but you will need to increase levels of supplements and possibly always need to supplement
A good probiotic may help too. Plus fermented foods, e.g. Sauerkraut or kefir help improve good bacteria.
I think you will probably need FT4 over range and TSH suppressed before you are able to convert sufficient T3. I would consider adding T3 to 150mcg Levothyroxine. If you can't persuade your GP to prescribe it write a post asking members to PM you sources.
Thyroid peroxidase antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.
I'll try to take this to my GP and pressure to get T3 prescription plus vitamin suplementation. Geting it online is much too expensive for me... But if there's no other choice I'll manage it somehow....
Another thing I'll ask him is for is intravenous iron to be able to get the Iron and ferritin levels up faster and more eficiently.
