Jenna_19,

5mg folic acid should correct your folate deficiency in 8-12 weeks.

VitD 800iu is inadequate to correct vitD deficiency. Ask your GP to prescribe according to NICE CKS advice for treating vitD deficiency in adults cks.nice.org.uk/vitamin-d-d... or buy your own D3 softgel capsules on Amazon. I suggest 10,000iu daily x 6 weeks and then reduce to 5,000iu and retest in 3-4 months.

Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. Ferrous Fumarate iron taken with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation will raise ferritin. Retest in 4-6 months.

VitD and iron should be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine and T3.

If you have B12 deficiency symptoms in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... ask for advice from healthunlocked.com/pasoc before supplementing.

Thanks for reply, doctor has said my symptoms are psychological. Pins and needles, dizziness, fainting, headaches, tiredness, irregular periods, constipation, hair loss, pale skin, muscle cramps and joint aches so I am guessing he is wrong?

Jenna_19,

Your blood tests aren't psychological and they are either bottom of range or deficient. You might want to find a more helpful GP.

VitD deficiency causes joint pain and aches, fatigue and low mood.

Low B12 and folate deficiency can cause Pins and needles, dizziness, fainting. See the B12d link I posted above.

Low ferritin can cause heavy periods and hair loss and muscle and joint aches.

Magnesium citrate, magnesium oil spray and Epsom Salt baths will relieve muscle cramps. Mag Citrate should be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine and T3.
