My doctor reduced my dose recently but I'm still not feeling good. Please help x
Leesy121,
Thyroid antibodies are negative for autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's).
TSH is too high for someone taking 75mcg Levothyroxine but FT4 is also over range so dose shouldn't be increased. Ask your GP to refer you to endocrinology because high TSH and high FT4 are not normal results and should be investigated.

B12 352 is probably fine but many people think it should be >500 to exclude deficiency so you might supplement 1,000mcg methylcobalamin with a B Complex vitamin.
Folate is good.
Thankyou. Why would they both be elevated? What about ferritin?
Leesy121.
Not taking Levothyroxine regularly and suddenly taking a large dose before a test can result in high TSH and high FT3 but if you are compliant and take Levothyroxine daily the link I posted suggests why both may be high.
If you are supplementing iron you should stop but otherwise ferritin is so mildly elevated you needn't worry about it. Ferritin can be elevated due to infection or inflammation in the body even due to a mild cold at the time of testing.
What is RTH, TSHoma then? It's on the link. I'm still feeling anxious, getting hunger pangs, not sleeping.
Leesy121,
You aren't over worrying. The results aren't normal and may be why you feel unwell so they should be investigated by someone with more thyroid expertise than a GP which is why I suggest you need referral to an endocrinologist. Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk for a list of member recommended NHS endocrinologists and ask your GP to refer you to one of them.
RTH = resistance to thyroid hormone or impaired sensitivity to thyroid hormone. google.co.uk/search?q=resis...
TSHoma is a benign pituitary adenoma which secretes hormone.
Was this a private test? It's a most unusual ferritin range.
Sorry it should say 150!!
Hi - well in that case your ferritin is too low, 100-130 optimal for thyroid, and this may be partially responsible for your poor conversion. Xx
Hi Startagain... that's interesting, can you guide me to a research ref for that? (I'm not arguing, just v interested in iron)
I agree, definitely 50 too low -
Yes blue horizon
Optimal ferritin for hypo thyroid should be 70-80 from the experts on the thyroid summit
I've just spoken to my gp. She said these bloods don't make sense and wants them re done.
