Ferritin, folate, vitamin B12 and vitamin D results

Hi here are results for ferritin, folate, vitamin D and B12. Could someone please advise on the results and my following symptoms:

Thirsty upon waking, constipation, feeling cold, burning feelings down my thighs, cold feelings up my lower legs, dizziness, tinnitus, fatigue, early waking, muscle spasms, dry skin on legs, aches and pains, bruising, numbness and tingling in fingers, hands and feet, dark circles under eyes, patchy eyebrows.

November 2016

Serum folate - 2.19 (2.5 - 19.5) I take folic acid 5mg but I have been getting the burning feelings down my thighs and numbness and tingling in fingers and hands since taking this

Serum ferritin - 85 (15 - 150) Received iron infusions in May for iron deficiency anaemia/microcytic anaemia.

Serum vitamin B12 - 206 (190 - 900)

Total OH vitamin D - 47.3 (25 - 50 vitamin D deficiency. Supplementation is indicated)

Thank you

Although the burning sensations, numbness and tingling started after you began taking 5mg folic acid for folate deficiency the symptoms are likely to be due to your low B12. Ideally your GP will test to see whether pernicious anaemia is causing low B12 and institute B12 injections until there is no more improvement in neurological symptoms. healthunlocked.com/pasoc will give better advice re folate and B12 deficiency and PA.

Ferritin is optimal at slightly more than halfway through range.

VitD is sub optimal. Optimal is around 100. I would supplement 5,000iu D3 daily and retest in April.
