Last Nov I was finally given levo (50mcg) by my gp after months of increasing TSH tests and feeling really bad and when retested was told I was in range although still feeling rough and in the higher part of the range (I think it was 3.7). I successfully used the nice guidelines to get an increase to 75 mcg and my TSH in April was down to 1.2 (GP did not test F3 or F4) so I was told all fine now and to come back in a year! Also a private blood test done in May showed insufficient vitamin D (38.7 nmol l). since then I have been taking supplements of vitamin d3 and also recently iron and other minerals (Zinc, calcium, magnesium, selenium, boron, molybidum and others but not folate). I have been taking vitamin B12 since August last year when I had a deficiency.
Recently I have been feeling tired and sad and have had a very swollen face every morning and also fairly dizzy with a nasty thudding noise in one ear and I have had no sense of smell at all for months but my asthma has been a lot better since starting the minerals. I am seeing someone from Ear Nose and Throat and in the waiting list for a sinus scan. These are my latest blood results from blue horizon.

I took the blood test 24 hours after my levo tablets first thing in the morning before breakfast. I think that my TSH is still a bit high and that the thyroid levels are a bit low but know that the GP will be reluctant to rise my prescription.
I eat a gluten and dairy free, low salicylate and low histamine diet free from preservatives and colourings but have managed to expand this a tiny bit one pea and one slice of banana at a time over the summer without an attack but I'm due to start a stressful few months and would love to feel a lot better and able to cope.
I would be interested to see if other people here agree with me and also some hints as to a good approach to use with the GP. Thank you.
