Will be on Zyrtec indefinitely. Thankfully it is controlling the intolerable hives.

It seems like I remember someone mentioning using Zyrtec for opioid sweats. Am I remembering correctly? Methadone has been a life saver for me but I really hate the sweats.

Quercetin 1000mg X 3, if it's bad I take a Zyrtec, and oftentimes a different, four-hour antihistamine. There is a most excellent web site that will let you educate yourself about mast cells if you think it might apply.

I am on Plaquenil, Gabapentin, Zyrtec, Pepsid and Singular! also..my WHOLE entire body is itchy 24/7band it drives me CRAZY. It is the worst on my hands and feet advice pls!!

Zyrtec (thanks Hunter!) definitely helped reduce this. Taking all into account, my oncologist felt that it would be best to switch to Rux and see if that is effective and tolerable. Day 1 is today.

I haven't had any signs of cold or allergies either. the doctor said to use Zyrtec which did not help and I was wondering if anyone has had any ear issues on rinvoq . Thanks

I find that Zyrtec or the generic version is easily 80% effective. I take it when I feel the itchiness coming on which happens every few days. As my dose has stabilized, the itchiness also seems less frequent and strong.

If yes, should i continue with Fostair and Montelukast, or move to try just an allergy pill like Zyrtec or something? I will follow the advice of my doctor, but still if i find someone with more experience to help it will be great.

So, I decided to quit the Atarax and the Zyrtec. After 4 days, of stopping Zyrtec, I had bad withdrawal symptoms, like a Racing Heart Beat. So, I went to the ER and was diagnosed with A-Fib again.

I switched to Zyrtec (cetirizine) to control the itching. It seems to work better than Claritin (loratadine), which is reported in the literature for skin issues. The LFTs remain WNL since I started on the Milk Thistle extract.

Cetirizine (Zyrtec®) may or may not have less risk. Topical eye or nose sprays/drops have the least risk of these side effects. Non-prescription medications and supplements: Some of these agents may interact with PD medications.

I looked it up and antihistamines (Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl, et al) can lead to weight gain. Both water retention and fat. How so fat? I can testify Claritin causes intense carb craving which I indulged enough to gain about 7-8 pounds in fairly short order.
