It seems like I remember someone mentioning using Zyrtec for opioid sweats. Am I remembering correctly? Methadone has been a life saver for me but I really hate the sweats. I do a lot of hiking in the summer and I am constantly soaked through and it even happens sometimes when I am just sitting around. I asked my doctor and she basically said I have to live with it. Anybody have anything to help?

Yes zyrtec can help.
I did some research and discovered that pregabalin is used for Menopausal hot flushes and sweats. I take 25mg at night to counter opioid panic attacks and I think it has helped reduce the head sweats. Weird that I sweat on my face and head, not my body.I also take cetirizine anti histamine, as I also think it helps reduce the sweats.
Worth a try.
In addition to RLS, I also suffer from cranio-facial hyperhidrosis. Oxybutinin has been a life saver. It's normally prescribed for urinary incontinence and this is an off-label but widely accepted use. I take it 8 months a year, only going off during winter. It hasn't affected my RLS at all.
