The St Thomas Hospital Transcobalamin testing service
Hello, Has anyone on this forum had experience for the transcobalamin testing service offered at St Thomas Hospital? I am to understand that it requires a GP referral letter to get an appointment but the patient only pays a £15+vat private blood-drawing charge? Have I got this right from the literature

Supplement Success...
Hi all, Any thoughts on supplements such as zinc, Berberine and Inositol? I've been advised to have another attempt on clomid for fertility but I'm concerned about the reduction of Cervical Fluid. I've seen that there's 15mg of Zinc in my pre conception vitamin but perhaps I should consider going

Test Result Help, please
Hi, I'm new here. I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism in December '17 by a private ENT who I was seeing for sinusitis. My antibodies were very high, TSH was just over 6 and my free T4 low - I don't have a print out of these. My Mum was also hypo as is my brother. I was initially put on

Echinacea anyone?
I’ve just read on the CancerTutor website, that echinacea is great for boosting our immune systems, together with zinc and selenium. I’ve taken zinc and selenium prior to chemo and the oncologist didn’t seem to have any issues with resuming those two. However, I’m aware that here in the UK doctors are

Low white cell count - raising it with smoothies ?😳
Hello all , recap of probelm , wbc fluctuating between low and very low since August due to rituximab treatment for Sjögrens , slipped disc in December and need disc surgery . My surgery was cancelled on the 27th as wbc was 2.9 and neutrophils are 1.3 and there would be a risk of a spinal abscess .

Week 8 completed!! Week 9 I can’t wait!!!
Well what a strange week!! Did my 2nd run on Sunday with no problems then had my sore foot while out for a stroll with my son that evening. It felt like I was walking in a large pebble every step. I really thought I was going to be out of action for a while. I soaked it in Epsom salts, rubbed Voltarol

So confused! Can anyone help me make sense of blood results & advise on supplements?
Hi All, so a couple of weeks ago I was told my thyroid was a little underactive and prescribed a low dose of Levothyroxine. (25mcg). I assumed it was my TSH the GP meant but I got my blood results and that and my T4 are fine, T3 is a little low. I don't understand, reading other people's experiences

Hello everyone! So after just under a year of tests and appointments, we've had our appointment with the consultant, who has approved for us for an NHS round of ICSI (or possible IVF- to be decided after egg retrieval). We asked about waiting times to get started, and to our shock, they've suggested
