13 year old with Hashimotos- should we try ndt? Anxiety, constipation, brain fog and trouble sleeping :(
Hi - my daughter is currently on Levothyroxine 50mcg daily- she suffers with anxiety, constipation, brain fog and difficulties falling to sleep. She also tends to have dips in energy during the day and flushed cheeks which we thought was related to adrenals. (We tested cortisol levels and although low

AREDS or Persevita?
Just wondering if anyone knows if there have been any tests proving the effectiveness of either vitamin, Areds or Persevita. Is one better than the other? I have read that too much zinc is not good.

Morning anxiety, how can I fix it?
Hello, I tried all possible combinations of doses and medications (levo, levo+T3, ndt, ndt+t3, etc) even if I take nothing, I can't get rid of anxiety around 11-12 a.m., it's so bad, I can't focus on what I'm doing. When I take T3 (more than 5 mcg) It's like I'm gaining weight instantly. Why is this

Advances of Zinc Signaling Studies in Prostate Cancer - International Journal of Molecular Sciences - Published: 19 January 2020
This is a very comprehensive review of the research literature on Zinc and Prostate Cancer. It provides solid evidence that maintaining adequate zinc levels through diet or supplementation (or both) is good advice for every PCa patient. As is usual in such studies, extensive links to specific research

Change of meds from Bisoprolol to Sotalol . I have asthma and copd so very scared.
Episodes of very fast PAF started in January 2013. My episodes are ALWAYS very fast - 170 - 210 . I take rivaroxaban and bisoprolol. Always go to A&E ( as told to do by docs) if heart rate remains over 150 for more than 2.5 /3 hrs. My heart usually returns to NSR within 3.5/ 4 hours , sometimes

The Importance of Nutritional Factors and Dietary Management of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
This paper was written with specific reference to Poland. For that reason, there will be elements which are inappropriate in other countries. My main aim in posting is not to distribute the advice contained so much as to highlight that there are at least some people who recognise that there are issues

Graves, Carbimazole and hair loss
Hi, would really like some advice please. Was diagnosed with Graves 3 months ago, after having a routine blood test. GP ended up sending me straight up hospital as TSH was suppressed and bpm was 140. Endo put me on 60mg Carbimazole and month later reduced to 40mg. Month later 10mg and now up to 20mg

Help interpreting results
Hi everyone, I am hoping someone can help. I have been following the Thyroid board for almost a year and have found it really helpful. In July 2019 I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism. My TSH at that time was 11.26 mU/L (0.30-4.20) and serum T4 10.5pmol/L (9.0-23). The diagnosis came about

I have all the symptoms of a low thyroid. I am a male, age 63, and have had most of the low thyroid symptoms for 30 years. Below is my most

supplements interfering with medication
I know it's an obvious one but what are your thoughts/experiences with taking supplements that may interfere with, in my case hydroxychloroquine, or other RA/PsA meds? I started pizotifen a few weeks ago for severe migraine and cluster headache prevention. It worked like magic but I gained 3/4 stone

Newly diagnosed hypothyroidism and long term hair loss
Dear Thyroid community I know there are some brilliant thyroid experts on here from what I’ve read and I’d be so grateful if anyone can give me a bit of advice! I’ve suffered hair loss ( very thick curly hair previously) and fatigue for 13 years, which worsened at aged 30 ( I’m now 43) as soon as I
