Post double ankle sprain rehab
Hi all, I managed to sprain both ankles, falling off a high curb, but at the beginning of a 450km cycle tour. Although I could not walk well, I could cycle with discomfort only under exertion. Given that I had was committed to the tour, I continued with pain-killers, an ankle support for the most affected

Some of you will know we moved from Cornwall to the Bristol area which obviously meant registering with a new doctors surgery. I’ve been about three times and you can never see the same doctor even though they say make an appointment to see me after your blood test. Anyway the last time I went was partly

Week 7 Run 2
Week 7 run 2, Along the canal, and fairly flat, up quite early to run before it got too hot, but already weather station showing 19 degrees, at least the canal is quite sheltered. Managed to increase distance by about 100meters, not a lot but considering I forgot to take painkillers for stump beforehand

Zoladex and HRT
I was diagnosed with endo in 2021, it was removed from my abdominal wall but my pain never fully left. Just 4 months later my symptoms returned and the pain was as bad as it was pre-op. Here I am, 19 months later in significant daily pain. I am signed off sick from work for the 3rd week, and it seems

Enlarged Prostate Medication
Good afternoon. I’ve been recently diagnosed with enlarged prostate. My general health is not good as I had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair and also, last year was diagnosed with Heart Failure. I’ve also got Severe Spinal Stenosis which has returned following a Failed Laminectomy Spine Operation

Nerve compression after surgery for Cauda Equina
Ho- just wondered if anyone had been through a similar thing. A relative had surgery for Cauda Equina which failed. She had had a new nerve compression- due to pressure from centralised disc - but she has been refused surgery despite the excruciating pain. She has tried several neuropathic painkillers

ibs-d and facing surgery
I’m having a knee replacement on Wednesday and worried about my ibs-d as bad at the mo. I’m taking loperamide but worried that if I take too many with the combination of strong painkillers I’ll end up constipated. Also concerned that as im having an epidural I wont be able to feel if I need to go😩

Bit of a Vent
(Warning: I mention infertility a bit) Hi everyone, My suspected endometriosis has been getting worse and worse, especially after I’ve been put on the implant. I had to go to A&E for the doctor to tell me he didn’t even think morphine would help with my pain… I’ve had to take so many sick days from

Nerve pain, constant over 3 weeks
I believe I have posted my history with regard to this recent episode of severe pain, over 3 weeks now, every day, front thigh, groin, coming from nerve pain, L2 disc, nerve impingement on nerver root, pain in back, but also redirecting to front thigh, has brought me to tears, no painkillers have worked

I am tapering down prednisone, under specialist advise, at 6mg for one month, alternate 5mg/6mg, then 5 mg over a three month period. I still have pain and have told him so but he wants to try this tapering regime. I’m also on weekly 10mg of methotrexate (on this for three months). I have to trust
