Acid Reflux / TMJ
Currently had Acid Reflux for 11 months....taken omeprazole and now on lanzaprazole...neither which seem to work. I have went gluten free as bread seemed to be a trigger but no luck in clearing symptoms. I am getting a endoscopy in a few weeks as the specialist believes it may be a hiatal hernia. Added

Does this sound like a stomach ulcer?
Hello, about 6 weeks ago I suddenly had pain in my upper middle abdomen, that radiated to the back and sides and built over a few hours. Eventually I was vomiting bile and this continued for 2 days. As I’d been taking NSAIDS fairly regularly over the past year my doctor recommend I start a PPI medication

Hi all. Well 4 1/2 years after my bypass surgery I found myself with similar angina pains although things went slightly differently this time. At first I think I was in denial about the pain 'was it imagined' 'was it indigestion'? In the end I could ignore it no longer so last Monday (18th) I phoned

The Pill and Painful Sex
Hi everyone, hope you’re all well, just looking to see if anyone can relate to what I’m going through at the moment. I’m 18, when I was younger I had crippling period pain - it left me unable to carry on day to day life even with pain medication. At 15 I was prescribed the combined contraceptive pill

Anyone currently on gabapentin…
my pain management consultant has suggested pairing gabapentin with either amitriptyline or duloxetine to get the best out of both pain killers. They have synergistic qualities when together.. is anyone currently on a these or have any experience with it? Looking for any advice or feedback please? 💖

Post lap Mirena coil pain
Hi everyone, I had an appointment with my GP today after I rung up on Friday about the pain I was experiencing 10 days post lap & having a Mirena coil fitted. Yesterday I had the worst pain I’d ever had in my life along with bleeding. It was like a sharp stabbing pain that started in my crotch and went

Diagnosed with PMR late Sept 2021
I was diagnosed with PMR about a month ago. I took 15 gm of Prednisolone for three weeks, and started to reduce this to 12.5gm 2 days ago. Initially the pain and stiffness in my shoulders arms , knees and legs disappeared completely, my mood also lifted and I felt great. During the end of the third week

Dry ears, eyes etc and Buckthorn Oil Capsules
I came across an article recently for dry eyes, ears etc. Has anyone taken Buckthorn Oil capsules for this? I have just purchased Omega7 which contains [i]Omega 3, 6, 7, 9 and Vit A (beta carotene) which maintains normal structure and function of the skin and mucous membranes, such as the eyes,

I have been immobilised for the last five days with excruciating pain in my left buttock, outer thigh and down to my knee. I can rarely get comfortable and if I get up I can only move doubled up . I then get such awful pain that it takes half an hour to get any relief . I’m writhing around all day.Painkillers

Advice please
Good morning. I have joined here as I’m not sure what to do. Scenario, husband is 48 years old and disabled after suffering from pancreatitis several years ago. As a result he is type 1 diabetic and is medicated for high bp and is on statins along with other pain relieving meds. On Monday night and again

Post laproscopy - pain and confusion about what next…
Hi everyone, I had my lap a week ago now and they found and removed endometriosis from my pelvis, particularly on the left side and fitted a Mirena coil. When I came round from surgery I was told I wouldn’t be having a follow up appointment as the surgeon had got it all with the laser and that combined

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force strikes again - Aspirin
The USPSTF never did recommend aspirin for PCa, of course, but they did for the prevention of colorectal cancer, in 2016. They are reversing that. Men with PCa have a greater risk for heart disease. Mark Moyad coined the expression “Heart healthy is prostate healthy.”, although he may not have been

Late night thoughts
I’m lying in bed and I was just thinking no one actually understands what we go through. And no woman should ever have to go through what we do. The physical side of endo is plain horrible but recently I feel like the mental/emotional side is actually harder to control. The pain you can lie in bed, taken
