Yellow fever vaccine

I cannot go because I would have to have a yellow fever vaccine, which is "live". This would have been the trip of a lifetime. I hope that he will still go without me and take thousands of photos. It is not worth the risk for me. Have any of you had the yellow fever vaccine with no issues?

Has anyone post Liver transplant got experience of not having the live Yellow Fever vaccine and travelling to The Gambia or other countries with Yellow Fever?

I know yellow fever vaccine is a big no no. Am on hydroxycarbamide and daily aspirin with a diagnosis of ET. Has anyone taken malaria tablets with such a condition? TIA.
