Rinvoq and shingles

I was just diagnosed with shingles and have been taking Rinvoq for 5 years now . It works great for me! I have not had shingles vaccine. Has anyone had shingles while taking Rinvoq and did your dr let you continue taking it after you get over shingles?

Yes, shingles (a listed side effect) occurred during my starting Rinvoq. I stopped Rinvoq until pox scabbed over. Dr asked me if I wanted to try another medication; but I chose to go back on Rinvoq, since it was the only medication that ever helped my severe RA. No recurrence of shingles, since.

Yes. Once over it stayed on it. Many drugs can leave us wide open to shingles. Hope you are getting help with the pain.

Thank you so much! I'm doing pretty good, pain comes and goes but it's very painful at night trying to sleep
