If not then oncologist has recommended that he starts
Xtandi
. I read that lots of people seem to be doing chemo early on in their treatment and am wondering if we should be looking at this. Next appointment is 14th Feb. My husband has never had any pain and remains active, 67 years old.

Is anyone else on the Enzalutamide and LY3023414 clinical trial?
My husband has been on the
xtandi
phase 2 trial a short time and his PSA is dropping. It went from 21 to 3 in ten days. So far, so good. The fatigue and bone pain have increased. It is not stopping my husband though.

Update on Bat protocol after 14 months
Bottom line, I see this protocol as a way to defer chemo (taxanes) and xytiga and
xtandi
until last resort. In addition, tests, if I interpret them properly, have shown that some may benefit by reversal of cr and second line treatment failures. May God bless you all and keep the beast at bay.

Adding
Xtandi
after last bump in PSA seems OK. Onc. Dr. satisfied with blood results. LDH was only one out of bounds at 239 units/L Still waiting for PSA--lab said equipment problem and sent sample to Phoenix lab. 5to7 day turnaround.

Am I on track ???
Had a RRP July 2016 at UCLA along with a clinical trial which included some hardcore drugs.
xtandi
was one of them. No margins, but seminal V , and some lymph nodes positive.

Thank you for allowing me to be a silent participant
He went through Toxetire (please pardon my spelling), Lupron,
xtandi
, and zytega. The last scan in December showed a significant tumor in his liver and the plan was to biopsy the tumor to see if he now had liver cancer or if it had originated from the prostate cancer.

I'm Struggling
I have recently added
Xtandi
to the mix. The scary development has been progression in bony mets. I met with my radiation oncologist yesterday and he said that although I don't have any new mets, he's concerned about two sites in my spine. I have mets at T6,T7 and L4.

Diagnosis of NEPC- Low PSA High Chromogranin A
He failed
Xtandi
(3mo absolutely no changes) and now was recommended to start Jevtana and carboplatin. He has so far had chemo #1. As I was doing some research Today I recall Dr.Kwan explaining that it does not have the “small cell pattern” but definitely looks like Neuroendocrine involvement.

Treatment change imminent for mcrpc
Now the docs must decide what to do next and it looks like
Xtandi
or Keytruda (immunotherapy) off study. Neither is likely to be as effective as the Zytiga. The other option is to look at clinical trials of which there are many in the large metro area I live in. I meet with my medonc next week.

I am implementing my pH 7.2-7.5 Protocol (My Hypothesis) on myself Since I accidentally stumbled on Green Tea high pH 8.0 to 9.0
On the 24 December 17 after chatting with Dan59 and finding Neal has Zytiga & Prednisone failing (Did not know that Dan59 has problems too and had to add
Xtandi
as additional) I decided to give Vernon Johnstone baking soda/honey ( replaced molasses) a try from 24-30 December 17.

Apalutamide - SPARTAN versus Enzalutamide - PROSPER.
Apalutamide (previously known as ARN-509) is an androgen receptor [AR] antagonist similar to Enzalutamide [
Xtandi
], except that it has "greater potency and several-fold reduced central nervous system permeation" [1].

Don’t know where I go from here.
I have been through: Lupron continuous from beginning, Strive, Docetaxal,
Xtandi
, Radium 223, Cabazitaxel, Mitoxantrone and other radiation treatments for pain etc. You can go back and look at my prior post for better timeline.

Radium 223 (Xofigo)
So I’ve been taking
Xtandi
and having a very difficult time. Today my oncologist said to stop it as she could see how it was affecting me. Starting me on Radrum 223 (Xofigo). Don’t see anything on this here when I do a search......any words of wisdom?

Olaparib/Durvalumab Combo Shows Promise in mCRPC
“But emerging data suggest potential activity in combinations, as seen with results reported with enzalutamide (
Xtandi
) plus pembrolizumab (Keytruda) and with a DNA-based vaccine plus pembrolizumab.”

Castration resistant prostate cancer
Thus far, I have had 39 radiation treatments, have been on Lupron for over one year (in tandem with Bicumulide first, and now
Xtandi
). Due to a recent increase in my PSA, I will soon begin Provenge treatment.
