Zytiga over Xtandi
As I understand Zytiga and
Xtandi
have similar efficacy. However, side effects for
Xtandi
seem less severe. I notice lots of people on Zytiga but not
Xtandi
. Does anyone know why Zytiga seems to be prescribed more?

How do you take your Xtandi?
The bottle says 4 pills once a day but my husbands doctor said it was fine to take two/ twice a day. How do most take it?

Reflection on having 4TH STAGE PC
I am currently on Lupron,
Xtandi
and Pembro. I find myself not getting things done like I use to in the yard and in the house. I think my priority has shifted to doctor appts, treatment appts, and doing what I can do without wearing myself out.

The in between
His oncologist decided because to enter him into a clinical trial involving
Xtandi
. He was ordered to stop prednisone and Zytiga. The clinicians in the trial do not have him scheduled to begin until mid August.

Calcium intake
Started Xgeva and
Xtandi
6 months ago. I have taken extra calcium the entire time with fortified antacids but never knew how to take until 6 months ago my onco suggested I take 1,500 mg of calcium a day which I do with fortified antacids, OJ and almond milk.

Cholesterol biosynthesis & Enzalutamide resistance
Looks like Simvastatin might prolong the effectiveness of
Xtandi
. Some will know that I favor the use of statins to shut off certain escape paths in therapies that involve the androgen receptor axis.

Xtandi stomach pain
It was decided to start
Xtandi
because Cancer showed definite signs of Androgen resistance mutation. I was able to receive patient assistance for the incredible cost of
Xtandi
.

Xtandi is approved for men with either metastatic or non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer
The FDA ruling expands
XTANDI
use in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), in addition for men with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
XTANDI
is now the first and only oral medication FDA-approved for both non-metastatic and metastatic CRPC.

Xtandi and alcohol
I have been taking
Xtandi
for over six months. It has reduced my psa from 3.4 to 0.19. I exercise most days so the effects are limited, however my tolerance to alcohol has diminished. I'm only talking about a few beers two or three times a week after playing walking football.

On
xtandi

Xtandi and international travel
I'm currently on
Xtandi
and you are supposed to take it at about the same time every day. Nine hours time difference between here and there.

One consolidated, easy to follow modality
I write this because I would like to see if there is anyone on this site that can encapsulate a plan/treatment modality to augment the usual standard of care treatments such as Lupron, Zytiga,
Xtandi
, provenge, chemo etc. There might already be such a post on this site.

Anyone on Apalutamide (Erleata)
Am currently on
Xtandi
but PSA keeps going up (33) but all chemistries are normal? He suggests waiting until we can move to Apa. Anyone have any backpain or leg weakness from
Xtandi
. I did very well on Zytiga for 5 years. Best to all! Eighty years old and 17 years with PCa!!

Xtandi & Neuropathy
IHi everyone, I’ve been on
Xtandi
for 3 months. Prior to this I had 6 rounds of chemo, Taxatere. I began having foot pain, after starting Taxatere. However, the foot pain (left foot only) has gotten worse recently. I take 4 pills before I go to bed and within 2 hours the pain begins.

Update- new treatment plan and a sprinkle of hope
His oncologist at the Cle clinic is putting him into a clinical trial which involves
Xtandi
and another agent (can’t recall the name). He’s tapering off of prednisone and Zytiga and will be starting in a week. He has been feeling pretty good. His back pain is tolerable and his weight is steady.
