Xtandi

Hi Guys I have been on Xtandi and Firmagon for 18 months now I gave been treated since 2913 for PC My PSA has increased from 5 to 10.2 Oncologist has decided to send me for the PMSA PET scan.. what is to be determined by this? Please advise

My MO ordered Xtandi to be added to the treatment. Xtandi dropped my PSA to very low levels, but also with many of the debilitation side effects that the drug causes. With my MO’s permission, I dropped the dosage from 4 to 2 pills a day.

I'm wondering why is my psa level low( 0.1) and my testosterone level high (699) with the drug Xtandi?

My dad was on Xtandi for a number of months but stopped taking it because they switched his medications. He has a brand new unopened box of it, 40mg, 120ct. What should he do with it? He was being treated in AZ but he lives in UT. He isn't being treated any longer.

I am 6 weeks into my xtandi/firmagon treatments. I am 67 years old, good shape other than the reason I am in this forum. I really have no program other than a 30 min. walk daily and yard work. Thanks in advance.

Hello. My PSA appears to have reached it's nadir at 0.07 for the past 4 weeks (nope, I am not James Bond alas) but my Alkaline Phosphate has increased by 66% in the last 4 weeks. Not due to speak to my Oncologist until July. Is this something to be concerned about? Any help or thoughts gratefully received

But now since he's been on xtandi for almost a month, the vomiting seems to be getting worse. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I can't find any articles that talk about it, but I seem to have developed all the symptoms of it after 6 months on Xtandi.

Found I have a sealed bottle that is past it's expiration date. Is there a shelf life beyond that shown on bottle? 2Dee

My Father is starting Xtandi this weekend, any thoughts and experiences on taking in morning vs. evening. Any thing to look for with the side effects upon taking it? I know with the brochure says, every side effect under the Sun so looking for more common personal experiences.

Is Xtandi induced dementia reversible I drug discontinued?

I've been on Xtandi for a month and I'm two months into quarterly Lupron shots too. I did get super bad flu symptoms from Lupron for a day and a half and I might get that again, but fuck it man. If that's all I'm going to get, I'll just binge watch movies until I feel better.

I have been on lupron and casodex which worked for a while tried xtandi and did not work had 42 days of radiation now on Zytiga for about 3 months.

After trying Xtandi with the chemo PSA still was climbing with a doubling time of 2 months. Now as I finish this year I’m back in chemo with Jevtana and so far results are excellent (I.e. PSA 29 at start and 11.4 after 3 rounds).

Well I stopped taken Xtandi for 10 days and started on on pill a day for three days then stopped again .. I have been off for several days and still have back pain and anxiety,sleep issues. The oncologist says to start taking again and the side effects are caused from something else..

Hi Guys What is the normal period of Treatment with XTANDI AND WITH FIRMAGON GREETINGS

Next step we are awaiting support approvals for Xtandi (so expensive $$$$), Xgeva injection on the 29th, and Provenge hopefully in January. What are some experiences with those treatments Xtandi and Xgeva? my Dad is overwhelmed with all the literature of side effects.

My oncologist says that the Xtandi is obviously not working anymore...and my options seem to be: door #1 More Chemotherapy door # 2. More radiation via Radium 223 (Xofigo) door # 3. something experimental/in trial/etc. door # 4. She's getting back with me next week after research.

Has any one had problem with alcohol drink taking this drug? Hubby wants to have a beer but had read may cause seizures.
