Third week post op laparoscopy
When water is on my
wounds
it stings, the nurse didn't give any information of how to take care of my
wounds
and when it's ok to wash my
wounds
. Also will the bruises on my stomach fade away?

When to change dressing?
I have 4
wounds
and just wondering when I should change the dressings? Can't believe the nurse never advised me. I was too tired and in pain to remember to ask.

post-op incisions
Hi everyone, I had surgery (ovarian cystectomy & excision of endometriosis) on 18/02/24 One of my
wounds
seems to be open. I feel ‘fobbed off’ by doctors who state it will close on its own. Did anyone else’s incisions look like this? Did they heal okay?

Stitches and wounds
Hello everyone, sorry again for one more post (12 days post op) Swelling on the head has reduced, movement is less restrictive and I feel better than when the process first began. Night erections are now uncomfortable but don't exactly hurt. Some of the stitches unfortunately got pulled out of

Should I remove the bandages from my incisions for good?
Mine are closed I think since there is no red tissue or open
wounds
just some scars like you have when your wound is healing. I still keep them covered with waterproof bandages as i do not want to get them wet when showering.

Leg wounds
Does anyone have any advice on leg
wounds
? I am 83 years old and I had one on my lower left leg a couple of years ago which took 5 months to heal. I now have another, smaller one, on the inside of my left knee which is also taking a long time to heal - 3 months so far.

Diagnostic Laparoscopy
THEY FOUND ITTTTTT! On Friday 13th (now considered the luckiest day in my life) I went for my laparoscopy and they found A LOT (surgeon’s words) of endometriosis which they managed to get out. There is still some in there that they couldn’t get to (too close to my bowel) but this is a test to see if

Flashbacks
Today has been a horrible day with flashbacks which all stemmed from a deep knife wound to my right hand, managed to bandage it all up but it brought back the darkest of times when I'd be alone by myself harming and suffering and looking back at that time in my life like it's crazy that bought me no

Could two amino acids be the missing link?
I posted this in a reply but to me this information was exciting so I wanted to post on a new post also. I have posted before that Fish oil Supplement triggered me off after almost a year of no AF. Everything I read says Fish Oil should be taken, so why does it trigger me? I am currently

prebiotic collagen protein
Hi, I have searched the site re the above and most concerns relate to cost and getting collagen from diet rather than paying large sums for a packaged preparation. The main reason i want to take it is the hype regarding bloating, gut healing and digestive issues. It contains collagen peptides

Thin skin wound risk
This post is mainly a cautionary tale. Many of us have thin skin; steroid age related etc. My skin on shins has become very thin in the last 12 months and two weeks ago, my dogs claw caught the front of my shin. It was something and nothing, but it caused a skin tear about 1” by 1.5” right on the

Pelvic MRI
So a week after my Endo diagnosis following emergency surgery last Monday, I received my appointment for my pelvic MRI but the letter states it needs to be done on day 3 or 4 of my cycle. Does this mean I should be bleeding when they do it? Sorry for the stupid question but it threw me and I have actually

Looking for feedback on taking bone meds. with teeth issues.Who has developed necrosis of jaw?
I am finishing the 2 Year bone shot Forteo. I need to start the next medication, something like prolia. Because I have a history of teeth problems, I am really scared of the drugs that can cause necrosis of the jaw. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has developed this. I have had pmr for

I have suffered from PMR for the last 3 years 10 months. I am now down to 2 mg of Pred, 1 at 3am ish and 1after breakfast. 6 months post op - periods still excruciating..!
How long until the pain for your periods stopped being as bad as before the operation? I allowed the first few as I figured my body was healing, but my op was late Feb & this one is really kicking my butt. Feeling a bit disheartened. Don't have my hospital post-op catch-up until September..
