Pelvic MRI

So a week after my Endo diagnosis following emergency surgery last Monday, I received my appointment for my pelvic MRI but the letter states it needs to be done on day 3 or 4 of my cycle. Does this mean I should be bleeding when they do it? Sorry for the stupid question but it threw me and I have actually started bleeding today which has also thrown me as I am early and I didn't expect it to be early after my laparoscapy.

A woman's menstrual cycle is measured from the first day of her period (blood flow, not spotting), so Cycle Day 3 is the third day of her period.

I thought that was what it meant. This might be tough but thank you for you help
