Could two amino acids be the missing link?

I posted this in a reply but to me this information was exciting so I wanted to post on a new post also.

I have posted before that Fish oil Supplement triggered me off after almost a year of no AF. Everything I read says Fish Oil should be taken, so why does it trigger me?

I am currently rereading Super Gut by Dr. William Davis. In the book he advocates taking fish oil but he also says to eat fish on occasion because fish has Taurine and fish oil supplements do not.

Taurine? could that be a key? Missing amino acid?

So I did a search on that and lo and behold the two amino acids that can help with AF is Taurine and Arginine.

a-fib.com is the website I found. Check that website out. He is a PhD and struggled with AF himself.

There he explains the two amino acids that help. I found this very hopeful. I sent this info off to my Chiropractor friend who also has AF, she was very excited because she didn't know this either.

We are all different but one thing for sure, we are all body electric and when something messes with that current it shows up in the heart.

As we age we loose our ability to produce the things we need like Taurine and Arginine. I encourage everyone to check out that website.

Take what you need and leave the rest.

My London Naturopath prescribed Nutri Megamag Muscleze and hey the ingredients include taurine and arginine. He also said take this with Co Q10.

With Flecainide (prescribed by my cardiologist) and many lifestyle changes (prescribed by others here) I put AF into remission for 10 yrs.

In the last year, I have reduced & stopped the Megamag but also AF/flutter has started in a different format. Thanks for your post, I am now considering restarting the Megamag in the hope it will reduce my current issues.

Yes,have tried both, it didn't do any harm, but nothing else. Still worth a try though as we're all different.

I started taking taurine and l-arg and within a couple of days my persistent af had begun to stop and start and stop etc. More days without now, which I am thrilled with. Not sure if it was that or my weight loss or magnesium supplements were kicking in as it can take months for that to happen, or coincidence. My af started in earnest last july 2023, persistent until Aug 2024. Itstill drops into af but most times I can track what it was that caused set back, usually stress or eating too fast or additives. I'll keep taking supplements as they have no side effects but I will discuss with my doctor next visit. But still taking apixaban and bisop.Ps my af is asymptomatic so don't know if that has anything to do with it. Does it mean there are different levels of af?

Hi

Interesting.

But Taurine is added to Bisoprolol. As Bisoprolol Taurine.

I love fish and buy seawater natural Salmon fortnightly with Oscar Sardines the other week with Tuna.

JAZ my mini Schnauzer eats the skin. Vet said at 11 years she is magnificant! Suggested that I give her the Q10. I said she has enough of it in kiwifruit/tamillo skins, madarine segments, apple, pear, celery, beans, broc, cauli ...almost everything with Black Hawk Australian kibble Lamb, Chicken or Kangaroo.

So like Pitassium and Magnesium it is added to sme meds.

That's why natural oily fish is better for you than supplements. Because we can total too much which becomes toxic. B12 sublingual nuggets in supplement form such as Solgar are eliminated safely if too much.

Get a blood test yearly for all these elements.

For those that aren’t on Bisoprolol I think adding a few animo acids isn’t going to hurt. I always like to experiment to see what works. So far so good for me. I can’t handle the medications very well.

Hi

Great.

But do check for toxicity. You don't want to harm your pancreas or kidneys.

Recently told by my Dr that another Dr shouldn't have given me this particular

constipation med as I am on the top of my Potassium intake.

Hi

Did you know Taurine is in abundance with scallops.

Then eggs, chicken, any freshwater fish, turkey, beets, tuna, etc.

But I learnt from B12 deficiency we may eat the foods but can't absorb them.

So best sublingual supplements rather than through the stach.

Great shout thank you and also fits with what (the late) Dr Stephen Sinatra advocates (blogs and in his Metabolic Cardiology book).

For what it's worth I began taking those amino acids about 2 months ago and I've gone from permanent to semi permanent af but don't know if that's a coincidence. Maybe a show of hands if anyone else have tried this?
