hello ! I had my surgery on the 14th Sep, I have 6/7 incision wounds which are healing nicely.

The hospital didn’t advise me on when I can swim again, was anyone told when they could ? Thank you ! xx

Hi! I was told no water (bath/pool) for at least 2 weeks and no strenuous exercise for 6-8 weeks. So I guess a swim would be fine after 2 weeks as long as you take it super easy.

I had my surgery on the 17.09.24 and was advised not to swim until winds have totally healed. Your situation may be different to mine so it may be with giving the ward you were sent to a call - mine has been most helpful with general advice.

Glad things are going well for you.

I would personally give it a full month and let them heal sufficiently inside and out before you go swimming. With my first lap, swimming was the first exercise I went back to after about 6 weeks (healed well but was in lots of pain). It's a great exercise to get back into things but the healing process is both inside and out and it might be best to give it a little extra time, and maybe ask your doctor if you can get through.
