Additional problems
Hi all, My husband sustained a TBI in 2018 and had many problems with memory loss, executive decisions, fatigue etc which we are trying to manage. However for the last year he has experienced faecal incontinence which has caused him some embarrassing moments when we are out. It has got so much worse

Does anyone with an MPN have a diagnosis of this? Soon after my ET diagnosis and starting HU 8 yrs ago I noticed shortness of breath with mild chest discomfort when walking fast and I dismissed it as possible HU side effect. The clinic treating me at the time said no, more likely lung scaring from previous

Is either Probiotic PS128 or near-infra-red light treatment helpful in early stage PD?
I'm new to this forum, as I've just been diagnosed here in Australia with PD two months ago. With only a few symptoms so far (a slight hand tremor & an aching arm), I've currently been prescribed 1.5 Kinson tablets x 3 times a day, and it seems to be calming things down, at least for now. In trying to

Anyone experience Intercostal Neuralgia? or Rhomboid pain?
Quick question: has anyone experienced "intercostal neuralgia" with their PMR? I have had PMR for three years and I am currently tapering pred now at 5 1/2 mg (tapering 1/2 mg per month) without any troubles - this time. Around a week ago, I woke with shingles like pain wrapping around my right rib cage

Hepatic encephalopathy, Auto brewery syndrome, feeling drunk, waking up with a hangover
Hi all I was diagnosed with ARLD around 7 months ago, I’m recently out of hospital about a month ago. Since then my life has been chaos, losing my job, many friends and even some family due to this disease I believe. My uncle even died of liver disease. At the wake of his funeral is where this began,

Have you been traumatised by a counselor who didn't understand your trauma & how narcisstic abuse works ? Warning long post.
Hi I have a counselor who I feel is invalidating me & making my trauma , worse .I don't think she , has training in narcissistic , abuse or the other dynamics , of coming from a deeply dysfunction , religious cult like "family" . In the last session, we were talking about a letter my sister sent me

Injury & motivation
Hi just signed on. I’ve had an injury to my achilles for about a year. I’ve been to see the physio and he did relieve the pain and it has got better. When I run now I’m extremely wary just in case I hurt myself again. Can anyone suggest how I can improve?

Diagnosing mild TBI
I am looking for answers/diagnosis for my son that was injured in a fall in 2010. He suffered a basilar skull fracture and had a concussion but no internal bleeding. We felt so very fortunate, but in the last 2 years he has suffered depression and began to drink excessively at times and has had 2 seizures

Slow transit constipation
Hi there, Calling all sufferers, and wanted to ask what works for you and if senna is the only thing that gets things moving for you? Hyperreflexia
I would love to hear others' experience with hyperreflexia as result of PA. I have periods (often in the last days before my injection), when I get low-level random muscle twitches, mostly in my arms and back, then they subside. I have been found to be hyperreflexive in reflex tests since my PA diagnosis
