perforated Gallbladder advice
Hey there. So i’ve only just realised that my records say I have a perforated Gallbladder. I didn't realise this and thought my Doctor said it hadn’t perforated. (I blame my ADHD) Anyway. Is it normal procedure to be on a 18 week waiting list surgery? I had read that Perforation is quite serious.

Tuesday's Tip
[i]
According to Dr. Jones' book sometimes people will stop taking their Urso because their liver function tests have returned to normal. If your liver enzymes have returned to the normal range it just means that the Urso is working. The PBC isn't cured - it is just controlled.

change of mind from GP on blood in urine and possible UTI.
Messaged via e consult to GP and she has had change of mind prescribing Fosfomycin one sachet for UTI. However then had another message to say that she had decided to also prescribe Nitrofurantoin capsules, (antibiotics ) for one month. Interesting change of mind relating to the blood in urine.

Hello!
Hey folks, Not entirely sure where to start here, first post. - I recently had a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) due to some on-going issues which were identified as gallstones. - During this, and also backed up by biopsy/blood tests it seems I have some issues going on with my liver L3 fibrosis

I have had long term UTIs arising post radiation therapy. I also have bile salts malabsorption which causes bowel issues so it’s not always easy to keep myself as clean as I would like and I have been told this is likely to be the cause of the repeated UTIs Up until recently for approx 6 years

Shingles Vaccination
Hi folks, just been sent a link for the Shingles Vaccine, is this something anyone else has had. I wasn't aware that when taking Methotrexate this was possible. Unfortunately I can never get through to my surgery to ask the question. Thank you

Elevated Gamma-GT and gallbladder stone
I posted a while back about how my GGT value was increasing over time and with every repeat blood test it was elevated further. All other enzyme values in normal range, I had an ultrasound this week and it showed one gallbladder stone. I have no symptoms of gallbladder issues - no abdominal pain etc

Cirrhosis and gallstones
Hi Everyone. I have yet another question [sorry!] I have cirrhosis, and gallstones were picked up in my last Cat Scan. Just wondering if gallstones can increase liver enzymes in blood tests? Thank you!

Shingles jab
I may be the last person to know this, but.......having been told to avoid the shingles jab as it contained a live virus, I've just been told that the NHS no longer use live virus vaccines, so it's safe for MPN patients. I have now had my first shot👍

Dulcolax
I took one dulcolax last night at about 10pm. I had 3 bowel movements in the space of an hour, 11am-12pm today. No pain or discomfort. I felt amazing after but it’s now 3:30pm and i feel like i’m constipated again and that there is still more to be released. Shall I take another one tonight to clear
