low sodium diet
hi all, reading the last few comments this is where my husband is basically at. He is on diuretics but not been told a low sodium diet but I understand it is needed. We don’t use a lot of salt but is there some kind of check sheet that anyone has been given? Wishing all a healthy future. Thanks in

Planet Fitness Whole Body Enhancement machine
I've recently read about Total Body Enhancement at Planet Fitness. It's a 12 minute routine with red light therapy and a vibration plate. Supposed to help with osteoporosis. Wondering if anyone has used this machine?

Diabetes, pre-diabetes and a low carb diet
We bang on about cutting carbs when on pred and I thought you might be interested in this article about extremely low carb diets and reversing diabetes and weight gain. It isn't in pred patients but it does show how going low carb works and that it is sustainable on a relatively low income. The only

Please me in peace Mr T!
I have tinnitus for years, almost 20 years. At first I thought it was stress related.During the first few years I was able to MANAGE it, by listening to soft music, walking in the countryside, watching tv ,and even flying at 36000 feet was a distraction.I even tried classical concerts and football games

No Success with Renadyl for me....
Hello: Just wanted to post my experience with taking Renadyl. First, my Nephrologist never recommended it and I wondered why? Of course, if this did work for me, he couldn't recommend dialysis or a transplant and make money from it. A Renal Dietitian did recommend it. I tried Renadyl for six months but

Carbs vs. Fats vs. Protein
Has anyone come across research that speaks to what is the best diet strategy in terms of macros? I just finished my last radiation treatment! However, I will still be on ADT/Lupron for another 4 months. So it’s time to buckle up and get back to a cancer-preventive diet along with my current exercise

Hashimotos & Gluten Free
hi all, I have hashimotos/under active thyroid and have heard the benefits of going gluten free. I have occasional bloating but not many gut issues as such, my symptoms are more brain fog and fatigue. All my thyroid tests are optimal and in range so I’m thinking of trying a gluten free diet. Can anyone

New here
I lost 35lbs in 2023-2024 but have been plateauing for a while. I started the diet due to high blood pressure and I've seen my blood pressure reduce from 140/90 to 120/80. I am now on a low carb diet recommended by my GP and am enjoying the recipes available. I have cut out all starchy foods: bread

Hi there, I'm Weng , 57, from Singapore. Last year, I was told by my neurologist that I have PD. The news came when I was about to retire. My goal is stay off medication and continue living a normal life. I have made a lot of lifestyle change since that fateful day. Things I do to help myself: brisk
